Description
The Leckey Squiggles Stander is Leckey's 3-in-1 pediatric stander for prone, upright, and supine standing in children about 1-5 years. Westin Healthcare quotes it after a clinical assessment, then delivers and sets it up for families in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.
Sunrise Medical Canada prints a user height of 29.5-43.5 in (75-110 cm) and a capacity of 48.4 lb (22 kg). The child's occupational therapist or physiotherapist chooses the standing position and the accessories. We do not give clinical advice.
Who this stander is for
This stander is for a young child whose therapy team has asked for a standing frame rather than a gait trainer or a seat. Families usually call us when a therapist has named Squiggles, or when they need to choose between Squiggles, Squiggles+, and the live R82 Caribou.
- Children in the 1-5 year band who need prone, upright, or supine standing in one frame
- Homes that want a lightweight support frame that comes off the pivot chassis for the car
- Classrooms that want an activity table in upright or prone
If the therapist wants 60 degrees of hip abduction or a three-piece car pack, use Squiggles+. If the child is already in the Mygo height band, use the Mygo Stander.
How it stands
The open-frame pivot chassis holds the child in prone, supine, or upright. A fully adjustable pelvic support is the starting point. Chest laterals, hip guides, knee cups, sandals, and a tray are quote accessories. A caregiver stays with the child in the frame.
Chest support height (footplate to armpit) is 21.5-32 in, with +/-30 degrees of angle and 2 in of depth. Chest and hip width are 6.3-9 in. Hip support height is 11.8-20.8 in. The footplate moves 10 degrees plantar and 10 degrees dorsiflex.
Leckey Squiggles Stander specifications
These figures are from Sunrise Medical Canada's current Squiggles Stander card. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Knee midline 5.5-8.4 in. Tray height prone 21.9-32.5 in, supine 18.5-32.5 in. Tray angle prone 30 degrees, supine 40 degrees. Leckey manuals print a three year warranty on manufactured products and components. Sunrise Canada notes provincial and funding variation.
Squiggles, Squiggles+, Mygo, or Caribou
Stay with Squiggles when the child is in the early band and the therapist wants 3-in-1 standing without the Plus abduction package. Move to Plus for abduction and three-piece portability. Move to Mygo from about 42.5 in. Stay with Caribou when the therapist named R82.
- Leckey Squiggles Plus Stander, same age band with 60 deg abduction
- Leckey Mygo Stander, next size band, crank prone/supine
- R82 Caribou Stander, live multi-position R82 sibling
Funding help for a pediatric stander in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) lists pediatric walkers, standers, and strollers as funded mobility aids. ADP can fund 75% of the cost of a pediatric stander when it is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full client share. Not every product or situation qualifies, so talk to us and the child's therapy team before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), Easter Seals Ontario, and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this stander across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble the quoted frame, and show you the pivot, brakes, and accessories before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a stander first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased standers are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Pediatric standers are oversized configured equipment. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the stander is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
Does ADP cover a pediatric stander in Ontario?
Ontario lists pediatric walkers, standers, and strollers among mobility aids. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses the child. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will talk through the funding route before anyone orders a Squiggles Stander.
What age is the Leckey Squiggles Stander for?
Sunrise Medical Canada prints the Squiggles Stander for children about 1-5 years, 29.5-43.5 inches tall, up to 48.4 lb. The therapist's measurements pick the setup.
Is the Squiggles Stander prone or supine?
Both, plus upright. It is a 3-in-1 frame. The therapist decides which position the child uses and which accessories go on the quote.
How is Squiggles different from Squiggles+?

The support frame comes off the pivot chassis for storage and transport. Squiggles+ is the model Leckey films as a three-piece car pack. We will talk through the vehicle when we book delivery.

The Leckey Squiggles Stander is printed at 48.4 lb (22 kg). Stay inside that figure.
