Equipment rentals
For the situations nobody wants to put a date on yet.
Beds, wheelchairs, scooters, lifts and mattresses, rented by the month across the GTA. We deliver, assemble, demonstrate and collect, and switch you to something different if the need changes.
Buying is a bet on how long this lasts. Renting is not.
Somebody is coming home from hospital next Tuesday and nobody knows whether they will need a bed for three weeks or three years. A relative is staying for the winter. A course of treatment is starting and the oncologist has been careful not to promise anything.
In every one of those, buying means committing money to a guess, and often to the wrong equipment, because what someone needs in week one is frequently not what they need in month three. Renting keeps the decision open, and it means the wrong choice costs a month rather than the whole amount.
Home from hospital this week
The most common reason people call us. We can usually have a bed in place before the discharge date if you ring early.
A hip, a knee, a stroke
Recovery equipment is temporary by definition. Renting it and returning it is exactly what it is for.
A relative staying for a season
A month or two of a bed, a commode and a wheelchair, then gone again. Nothing to store afterwards.
Nobody will say how long
Palliative and progressive situations change month to month. Renting lets the equipment change with them.
The things people need at short notice.
Availability changes week to week, so call and ask rather than assuming. If we do not have it we will usually know who does.
One phone call, and we handle the rest.
Tell us what has happened and roughly when you need it. We will tell you what we have, what it costs by the month, and when we can get it to you. There is no application and no assessment required for a rental unless you want one.
Our technicians deliver, assemble in the room, demonstrate everything to whoever is using it and whoever is caring, and leave a number to call. When you are finished we collect. If the situation changes we swap the equipment rather than starting again.
Where we deliver
Rentals are a GTA service because we collect as well as deliver. Purchases we ship Canada-wide.
Brampton and Caledon
Our home ground, from the Fisherman Drive warehouse. Usually the quickest turnaround.
Mississauga, Oakville, Milton
The western GTA, covered daily. Same delivery, assembly and demonstration as anywhere else.
Toronto and Etobicoke
Including condo and apartment deliveries, where we handle the elevator booking questions people forget about.
Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill
The northern GTA. Ring us with a postal code and we will confirm rather than guess.
Rentals and funding rarely mix. That is not always bad news.
Most funding programs pay for purchased equipment rather than rentals, so a rental is usually paid privately. WSIB and Veterans Affairs are the common exceptions, and insurers sometimes cover short-term rental after a hospital discharge.
The practical route is often to rent while an application for a purchase is being processed, so nobody waits at home without equipment while paperwork moves. We do this constantly and can set it up in one call.

If yours is not here, call us on 905 451-7743. A person answers during business hours.
How quickly can you deliver a rental?
Often within a day or two, and we can frequently work to a hospital discharge date if you call as soon as you know it. Ring early rather than waiting until the day, because the discharge date is the one thing everybody finds out at the last minute.
How long is the minimum rental?
We rent by the month, and there is no requirement to commit beyond that. If you need something for a week, tell us and we will work out what makes sense rather than charging you a month by default.
What is included in a rental?
Delivery, assembly in the room, demonstration to whoever is using and caring, and collection at the end. Beds come with a mattress and rails where needed, lifts come with slings sized to the person. Servicing during the rental is on us.
Can I swap to different equipment if things change?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons to rent. If someone deteriorates and needs a therapy mattress instead of a foam one, or a full lift instead of a sit-to-stand, we swap it. You are not stuck with a decision made in week one.
What if I decide to buy after renting?
Tell us and we will factor what you have already paid into the purchase quote. It is a common path: rent while the situation settles, then buy the right thing once the need is clear.
Do you rent outside the GTA?
Rentals are a Greater Toronto Area service, because we deliver, service and collect them ourselves. Purchases we ship to every province and territory from Brampton. If you are outside the GTA, call and we may be able to point you to someone local.
Is rental covered by funding?
Usually not. Most programs fund purchased equipment. WSIB and Veterans Affairs are the common exceptions, and some insurers cover short-term rental after a discharge. A frequent approach is to rent while a purchase application is being processed, so nobody waits without equipment.
What condition is rental equipment in?
Everything is cleaned, inspected and serviced between rentals, and anything that fails inspection does not go back out. It is not new, and we do not pretend otherwise, but it is safe and it works.
