About Westin Healthcare

We move people. That is the shortest description of the job, and it has not changed since 2012.

A Brampton medical equipment supplier that sells online, in a showroom and in your home, installs and services what it sells, and files the funding paperwork rather than handing it over.

What we are

Not a website with a warehouse behind it.

A great deal of medical equipment is now sold by companies that never see the person using it. A box arrives, sometimes the right one, and whether it fits, whether it is safe, and whether anyone knows how to use it is somebody else's problem.

We built the business the other way round. There is a showroom in Brampton you can sit in a chair at, technicians who deliver and install rather than couriers who leave things in a hallway, and consultants who come to your home and measure before anything is ordered. The website is one of three ways to buy from us, not the whole company.

Online

Ship across Canada

Five thousand products from sixty brands, shipped to every province and territory from the Brampton warehouse.

In person

A real showroom

Sit in the lift chairs, drive the scooters, ride a stairlift. Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive, six days a week.

At home

We come to you

Free assessments across the GTA. We measure the staircase, the doorway and the person before recommending anything.

Afterwards

We service what we sell

Repairs, batteries, parts and annual servicing from Brampton. The relationship does not end at delivery.

How we work

Four things we do differently, and one we refuse to do.

None of this is remarkable. It is simply what the job requires, done properly.

Free assessments No charge, ever

A consultant comes to your home, measures, and leaves a written quote. There is no charge for the visit and no charge for the quote, whether you buy or not.

Including when the answer is no.
We file the funding Authorized vendor

ADP, ODSP, WSIB, March of Dimes, Veterans Affairs, IFHP and BlueCross. We complete the forms, submit them and chase the decision.

You pay only the balance.
Our own technicians Not subcontracted

The people who install your stairlift or assemble your bed work for us, and they are the same people who come back to service it.

One number to call afterwards.
We say no When it is true

If ADP will not cover it, we say so. If a ramp will not fit, we say so. If cheaper equipment does the job, we say that too.

It costs us sales. It is still right.

Who we serve

Four kinds of customer, with genuinely different needs.

Someone buying for themselves wants to understand the choice. A daughter buying for a parent wants to know it is safe and that somebody will answer the phone. A long-term equipment user knows more about their own needs than we do and wants a supplier who listens rather than lectures.

Occupational therapists and case managers want accurate quotes in the right format, on time, and equipment that matches what they specified. Facilities want consistency across a floor. We try to be a different kind of supplier for each without being a worse one for any.

Seniors buying for themselves, who want the choice explained plainly
Families buying for a parent, often at short notice and from another city
Long-term equipment users, who know their own needs precisely
Therapists, case managers and facilities, who need accuracy and consistency

The numbers, and what they actually mean

Statistics on a website are usually decoration. These four are worth explaining.

4,500 customers

Households, not transactions. Most of them we have seen more than once, because equipment needs change and things need servicing.

200 communities

Rentals are GTA only because we collect them. Purchases ship nationally, which is how the number reaches two hundred.

5,000 products

A wide catalogue matters because it means the recommendation can follow the measurement rather than the stockroom.

60 brands

A dealer who carries one manufacturer will fit you to that manufacturer. Carrying many is what makes honest advice possible.

Paying for it

Authorized vendor for seven programs.

ADP, ODSP, WSIB, March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada, the Interim Federal Health Program and BlueCross. Being an authorized vendor means those programs pay us directly, so you pay only the balance rather than paying in full and claiming back.

It also means we know what each one covers and, more usefully, what each one does not. That conversation happens at the start rather than after a rejected application.

Questions about Westin Healthcare

If yours is not here, call us on 905 451-7743. A person answers during business hours.

How long has Westin Healthcare been in business?

Westin Healthcare Inc was established in 2012 and has been Canadian owned and operated since. We have served over 4,500 customers across more than 200 communities in that time.

Where are you located?

Our showroom and warehouse are at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive, Brampton, Ontario, L7A 1B7. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm, and closed Sunday.

Do you only serve Brampton?

Home assessments, delivery, installation, service and rentals cover the Greater Toronto Area, from Burlington and Oakville in the west through to Pickering and Oshawa in the east, and north to Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Aurora and Newmarket. Purchases ship to every province and territory in Canada.

Are the assessments really free?

Yes. There is no charge for the visit and no charge for the written quote, whether you buy from us or not. We do not add it to the price afterwards either, which is the usual next question.

Do you install what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians rather than subcontractors. Stairlifts, ceiling lifts, platform lifts, ramps, grab bars, beds and everything else that needs building or fixing. The same people come back to service it.

What funding programs are you authorized for?

ADP, ODSP, WSIB, March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada, the Interim Federal Health Program and BlueCross. We complete the applications, submit them and follow up, and where a program pays us directly you pay only the balance.

Do you work with occupational therapists?

Constantly. We work with OTs and physiotherapists across the GTA on ADP authorizations, seating assessments and home modification recommendations, and we hold order and assessment forms for them on the site.

Can I visit the showroom without an appointment?

Yes, during opening hours. If you want to try something specific it is worth calling first so we can make sure it is set up and available, particularly for larger items.
