Coming home from hospital, recovering from surgery, or waiting on funding for a purchase. We deliver, set it up in the room where it is needed, and collect it when you are finished. Prices below are the real ones, not a starting point.

Rental prices, published
Most places make you ring for this. These are the current rates including delivery and setup within the regular GTA area. Notice how the four week figure is not four times the one week figure: the rate per week drops the longer you keep it, so tell us the realistic length rather than booking a week at a time.

Longer term items are priced by the month: a full electric hospital bed package is $160 for the first month and $500 for four, a manual tilt in space wheelchair is $160 a month, and an alternating pressure mattress is $250 a month.

Tell us what and when
Order online or ring. If it is a hospital discharge, say so on the call and we will work to the date you are given rather than a normal lead time.
We confirm a window
The rental coordinator calls to arrange the day and gives you a 2 to 3 hour window on the morning of delivery.
Delivered and set up
Assembled in the room where it is needed, not left boxed at the door, and demonstrated before we leave.
Keep it or hand it back
The agreement rolls on automatically until you tell us to stop. Call and we book the collection.

Rent, or buy?
Renting usually wins when
- The need is temporary: surgery, a fracture, a course of treatment
- Someone is coming home from hospital and the date moved
- You are waiting on an ADP or March of Dimes decision
- You want to try a machine in the actual house before buying
- A visitor needs equipment for a few weeks
Buying usually wins when
- The need is permanent or progressive
- The equipment has to be fitted to one person's measurements
- Funding will cover a purchase but not a rental
- The rental would run past roughly six months
- You want a specific model rather than what is in the fleet
If you are unsure, rent first. The rental can come off the purchase price, so trying it is not money thrown away.

Rental questions, answered
Can rental payments be applied to a purchase?
Yes. The total rental amount can be applied to the future purchase of a new equivalent product, as long as the purchase is made within 30 days of the rental period starting. Note that this runs from the start of the rental, not the end. It does not apply to products already on sale or part of a promotion.
How quickly can you deliver?
Tell us the discharge date and we will work to it. Hospital discharges move at short notice and we would rather hold a bed for a date that slips than have somebody come home to an empty room. Ring rather than order online if the timing is tight, because the coordinator can see the fleet.
What does a rental cost?
A four wheel rollator is $50 for a week and $75 for four weeks. A transport wheelchair is $60 for a week and $95 for four. A mobility scooter is $130 a week and $265 for four weeks, and a power wheelchair $160 and $285. A full electric hospital bed package is $160 for the first month. Delivery and setup in the regular GTA area are included.
Where do you deliver rentals?
The regular rental delivery area covers Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton and Scarborough. For an address outside those, call 905 451-7743 and we will tell you what is possible rather than quietly adding a charge.
When can delivery charges change?
An additional delivery charge may apply when the address is more than 30 km from the GTA rentals location. The rental delivery coordinator calls to confirm the arrangements and the best rate available before anything is committed.
How is the delivery scheduled?
On the delivery day we give you a 2 to 3 hour window rather than making you wait in all day, and the team will work around your scheduling needs where they can.
Why does an online rental need a credit card?
For a rental ordered online an agent takes valid credit card details to complete the rental agreement. The card is not charged any additional amount unless the product is kept beyond the term you ordered. It is there to cover the extension, not as a deposit we sit on.
How does an extension work?
The agreement extends automatically at the end of the current term unless you tell us otherwise, so nobody is left without equipment because a form was not signed. After the first month a weekly option becomes available on request. Call 905 451-7743 before the first month ends to arrange it.
What happens if the equipment breaks?
Call us and we fix or swap it. Repairs during a rental are ours to deal with when the equipment has failed through normal use. That is one of the real advantages of renting over buying second hand.
Is rented equipment cleaned between customers?
Yes. Everything is cleaned and inspected before it goes out again. Slings and soft goods are treated separately from frames because they need different handling.
Will ADP or insurance pay for a rental?
ADP funds the purchase of a device rather than a rental, so a rental is normally paid privately. Some private plans, WSIB claims and veterans' benefits do cover rentals, and rental is often the sensible bridge while an ADP application for a purchase is being decided. Ask us and we will tell you which applies rather than guessing.
Do I need a prescription or an assessment?
Not for a straightforward rental such as a rollator, transport chair or hospital bed. For anything that has to fit a specific person, a tilt in space chair or a power wheelchair for example, we would rather measure first, and the free home assessment exists for that.
Can I rent for someone in a care home or hospital?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Facilities usually have their own rules about what may be brought in and who may install it, so tell us the facility name when you book and we will check before the van is loaded.
What if I want to keep it longer than planned?
Nothing to do. The agreement rolls on and the rate per week keeps improving on the longer terms. If the need has turned permanent, tell us and we will look at whether buying now, with the rent credited, works out better.
