Accessibility Products & Services
Don’t allow mobility challenges to stop you from enjoying your entire home. By installing a stairlift you can comfortably, easily, and safely access multiple levels, inside and out. And the best part is, it takes less than a day to install!
Installed quickly, customized fully and backed by exceptional warranties, we offer stairlifts that fit seamlessly into your home, and your budget, so you can prevent falls, ensure safety and live independently.
A stairlift is a chair that runs on a track and fits directly to the treads of the stairs, and the stairlift motor pulls the stairlift along the tracks up and down the stairs. The stairlift tracks are fitted to the staircase treads using metal cleats. Depending on the stairlift model you choose, your stairlift will be controlled through a small toggle or joystick control that is positioned on the arm of the stairlift chair. To move the stairlift up or down the stairs you simply move the toggle or joystick.
The cost of a stairlift varies and is based on where it is being installed and whether the staircase is straight or curved. Typically, the cost of a straight stairlift starts at just over $3500.00 however, upgrades and deluxe options such as power swivel, power folding rails and other add-ons can add to the overall total cost.
A curved stairlift with no added options can start at just over $9500.00, and like a straight staircase, there are many different options available with these units that can change the total cost of installation. The best way to get an accurate cost is for one of Westin’s experienced stairlift representatives to come to your home and give you a no cost, no obligation quote.

It all depends on the type of medical insurance plan that you have. Some insurance plans do pay for stairlifts. To find out whether or not your insurance company will cover a stairlift in your home, you should first obtain a quotation from Westin and then contact your insurance provider and see if they will cover a part or all of the cost of the stairlift based on the quote given to you by Westin.
Depending on the configuration of the stairs at your home, and whether they are straight, or curved we will typically have your stairlift installed within a few hours however, if your home has multi-landings, and or multi-level situations, the installation can take up to 5-hours from start to finish.
Upon completion of installing your stairlift, Westin’s expert technicians will make sure that it is fully operational and functional and they will also demonstrate to you how the stairlift works, making sure that you are both knowledgeable and comfortable with operating the stairlift.
Stairlifts contain a set of 2 batteries. Typically, a set of batteries will last between four to six years depending on how much the stairlift is used and how well the unit is maintained as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The owners-manual that comes with your stairlift explains the best practices for keeping the batteries and unit in top shape. However, if you do need the batteries replaced, Westin keeps batteries in stock and can changeout your stairlift batteries quickly if they start to not hold a full-charge.
Absolutely not, the decision is in your hands. We offer a free survey so that we can learn more about your needs and the design of the home. From this, we can develop a greater understanding of what is actually required to make your life much more comfortable.
Yes. Stairlifts are available for rent.
No. The only evidence of your stairlift being installed after removal will be small holes where the stairlift was bolted to your stair treads. These small holes have minimal appearance on carpet and can be patched with filler and stain on solid surfaces.
No. This fast and easy home accessibility solution simply plugs into your standard electrical outlets, saving you from extra electrical costs. Stairlifts are also dependable during a power outage by running on a constant charge back-up battery.
