Trillium Health Partners
After Credit Valley or Mississauga Hospital, where is rehab?
Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital are the two Trillium Health Partners acute hospitals inside this city. Trillium is the hospital system for Mississauga and western Toronto. It is not William Osler. Queensway Health Centre at 150 Sherway Drive is a Trillium site in Etobicoke, not a Mississauga hospital.
Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation runs at Mississauga Hospital and at Credit Valley Hospital, and also at Queensway Health Centre in Etobicoke. Named programs include Outpatient Physiotherapy, the Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, and the Cardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre. The Seniors and Rehabilitation Day Hospital is listed at Credit Valley, 2200 Eglinton Avenue West. The THP-UHN Reactivation Care Centre at 82 Buttonwood Avenue is in West Toronto, not Mississauga. These hospital references help families plan; contact the facility directly for its own services. We bring equipment to the home after a discharge.
Mississauga Hospital
100 Queensway West, Mississauga, ON L5B 1B8. Phone 905 848-7100. Full hospital with an emergency department. A discharge from here often lands in Cooksville, City Centre or along Hurontario, where the next problem is a booked elevator for a homecare bed.
Credit Valley Hospital
2200 Eglinton Avenue West, Mississauga, ON L5M 2N1. Phone 905 813-2200. Full hospital with an emergency department on the western side of the city. Women's and children's inpatient care is now at this site. A discharge from here more often lands in a two-storey house or townhouse in Erin Mills, Meadowvale or Streetsville.
Queensway Health Centre
150 Sherway Drive, Toronto. A Trillium site in Etobicoke, across the city line from Port Credit. Plan a Mississauga discharge around the Mississauga sites first.
Ontario Health atHome
Most of the city, including Sheridan Villa and Streetsville Community, uses Ontario Health atHome Mississauga Halton, 1-905-855-9090. Malton Village points to Central West. Malton sits against the Brampton and airport edge, so match the office to the home rather than using one number city-wide.
Lakeshore, towers and west-end houses
Mississauga is not a city of bungalows. Most homes are not single-detached.
The 2021 Census counted 244,575 occupied private dwellings in Mississauga. 90,660 of them were single-detached houses, 37.1 percent. Another 26,855 were semi-detached. Occupied dwellings grew 1.5 percent here from 2016 to 2021, against 8.6 percent in Brampton.
Official Plan 2051, adopted by Council on 16 April 2025 and approved with modifications on 24 March 2026, organizes the city around a Downtown Core, Growth Centres, Growth Nodes, Transit Communities and Neighbourhoods, plus separate Port Credit and Lakeview local area plans. That split is why a hospital bed into a City Centre tower is a different job from a stairlift in Erin Mills or a ramp on a raised lakeshore lot.
Book the elevator before the bed arrives
Towers need a booked elevator, a loading dock and a clear corridor for a homecare bed or a lift. Building rules belong to the condo board or landlord. We confirm them at the assessment. Beds are not an ADP item. Renting is the usual short stay after a Cooksville discharge.
Front steps and raised lots toward the lake
These are older lakeshore communities with their own official local area plans. The honest access problems are front steps, raised lots toward the lake, and tight heritage-street access. A porch lift or a ramp is the usual conversation. ADP does not pay for either.
Two-storey houses and turning stairs
Planned and post-1970 streets are where families ask about a straight stairlift, a curved rail where the stair turns, and a raised foyer. Typical stair width is not a published city figure. We measure the house. ADP still does not cover stairlifts, ramps or lifts.
Airport edge, not City Centre
Malton is a distinct north-east community against Pearson and Highway 427, with its own Peel long-term care home. It is not Port Credit and not the Downtown Core. Placement through Ontario Health atHome is Central West, not Mississauga Halton.

- Mississauga Hospital 100 Queensway West, Cooksville. The eastern Trillium acute hospital, with an emergency department.
- Credit Valley Hospital 2200 Eglinton Avenue West, Central Erin Mills. The western Trillium acute hospital, plus the Seniors and Rehabilitation Day Hospital.
- Sheridan Villa 2460 Truscott Drive, Park Royal / south Mississauga. 142 licensed beds. Licensee: The Regional Municipality of Peel. Peel operates two of its five long-term care centres in this city.
- Malton Village Long Term Care Centre 7075 Rexwood Road, Malton, near Highway 427 and Derry. 160 licensed beds. Licensee: The Regional Municipality of Peel.
- Streetsville Community 1742 Bristol Road West. 118 licensed beds. Sienna Senior Living.
- Erin Mills Lodge 2132 Dundas Street West. Schlegel Villages. Phone 905 823-7273. We do not publish a licensed-bed count for this home.
- Camilla Care Community 2250 Hurontario Street, next to Mississauga Hospital. 236-bed long-term care home. Partners Community Health says it stays open until a new centre at 2180 Speakman Drive is open and residents have moved. Speakman Drive is future. Do not treat those beds as already admitting.
- Amica Erin Mills 4620 Kimbermount Avenue, at Eglinton Avenue West and Winston Churchill Boulevard. Seven-storey building. Independent living, assisted living and respite. Memory care is not on this site.
Chartwell's corporate address is 7070 Derrycrest Drive, Mississauga. That is a head office, not a retirement home to list as local care.
Funding in Peel
What does Peel actually fund for a Mississauga household?
The same administering body as Brampton: the Regional Municipality of Peel, 905 793-9200. Toronto residents may use the City of Toronto Hardship Fund; Peel residents follow the Peel path below. Halton Low-Income Financial Assistance belongs to Burlington, Oakville and Milton.
Peel Disability additional benefits
Peel can help pay for items such as medical equipment and dental care if you already receive ODSP. This is not a Toronto-style hardship fund, and it is not open to low-income residents who are not on ODSP. Email the request form and attachments to [email protected]. Westin does not decide eligibility.
Ask the Peel OW caseworker
People on Ontario Works in Peel use their OW caseworker for mandatory and discretionary OW benefits. Peel did not publish a public equipment schedule for beds, lifts or stairlifts on the pages we checked. Do not assume a published list exists.
Beyond OW and ODSP
Mississauga residents outside OW and ODSP use the shared provincial and federal list on funding for medical equipment in Ontario rather than a municipal program, because Peel runs its supports through ODSP rather than a city cheque.
ADP is a provincial program
ADP covers eligible manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, wheelchair seating and wheeled walkers, at up to 75 percent of the approved amount, or 100 percent if the person is on OW, ODSP or ACSD. It does not cover bathroom equipment, beds, stairlifts, ramps or lifts. Crossing the Peel border does not change that list.

After a discharge from Credit Valley or Mississauga Hospital, what does Peel actually fund, and is there a city hardship program?
Peel is the service manager. If you receive ODSP, Peel Disability additional benefits may help with medical equipment. If you are on Ontario Works, ask the Peel OW caseworker. If you are on neither, Mississauga has no municipal equipment hardship program, and the City of Toronto Hardship Fund serves Toronto residents only. Everyone still has ADP for eligible manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, wheelchair seating and wheeled walkers, plus the rest of the shared provincial and federal list.
Does ADP cover a stairlift in a two-storey house in Erin Mills, Meadowvale or Streetsville?
No. ADP is provincial. A two-storey house west of Hurontario does not create an exception. ADP covers eligible manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, wheelchair seating and wheeled walkers. It does not cover bathroom equipment, beds, stairlifts, ramps or lifts. We measure the stair and quote. We do not file the lift as if it were an ADP wheelchair.
Can you deliver a hospital bed into a City Centre condo if the elevator has to be booked?
Yes, we deliver to and install in City Centre, Hurontario and the growth-centre towers. Elevator bookings, loading docks and corridor rules belong to the condo or landlord. We confirm them at the assessment. Beds are not an ADP item.
Is Ontario Health atHome the same office for Malton as for Port Credit or Sheridan Villa?
No. Sheridan Villa and Streetsville Community pages point to Ontario Health atHome Mississauga Halton, 1-905-855-9090. Malton Village points to Central West. Malton sits against the airport and Highway 427. Use the office that matches the home, not one number for the whole city.
