Who this sling is for
This sheet is for a person who needs help to roll onto a side, change position for personal care, or move sideways while lying down. It is used when the care plan calls for a hoistable sheet that can log-roll, then lift and level, then place the person back in the centre of the bed. It is not a sit-to-stand sling and it is not a hygiene sling with a commode opening.

What you get
You get one One Size sheet in the fabric on the quote. Mesh is 100% polyester open weave for airflow and a quick dry, including bathing. Polyester is 100% polyester that glides onto the mattress and dries quickly after washing. Each sheet has eight tapes plus two head-support tapes along the long sides. Loop straps only.
A slide sheet can sit underneath so the person glides back to the centre after the turn. The sheet can also be used as part of the bed make-up with a draw sheet. A slide sheet and a draw sheet are not listed as part of the carton; ask us if you need either quoted with the sling.

Attachment and compatible lifts
The Repositioning Sling - Sheet Style is a loop sheet. Eight tapes plus two head-support tapes run along both long sides. No clip, stud, or E-clip version is offered on this article. The tapes go on a loop-type spreader bar so the person can be lifted slowly and levelled before a turn or a boost. Do not put these loops on a clip bar, a stud bar, or a Human Care E-clip / mushroom bar. If the bar is an E-clip, see the Human Care Full Body Sling E-clip instead.
Silvalea states the series is a partner for the Savaria line of lifters. On our floor, Handicare loop carry-bar hooks sit on the Handicare C450, the Handicare C625, and the Handicare A450, and on the two-point SlingBar of the Handicare Carina 350. Confirm the bar type before the first lift. A 450 lb motor limits the system to 450 lb even though the sheet is 1,000 lb. A Carina 350 limits the system to 350 lb. A C625 limits the system to 625 lb.

Care and laundering
Follow the label on the sheet you receive. Wash at 95 C (203 F) with a non-biological detergent. Tumble dry on low heat, maximum 50 C. Do not iron. Do not put the sheet on a heater or steam pipes. Inspect tapes, fabric, and the label after every wash. Take the sheet out of service if anything is worn or the label cannot be read.

How is this different from a Positioning Sling?

Does it fit a C450, A450, C625, or Carina 350?
Those Handicare motors use loop carry-bar hooks, which is the attachment class this sheet is built with. Confirm the bar on your motor and stay inside the lowest working load. A 450 lb motor is the limit on the C450 and A450. A Carina 350 is a 350 lb limit. A C625 is a 625 lb limit.
How do I wash it?
Wash at 95 C (203 F). Tumble dry low, maximum 50 C. Follow the label on the sheet you receive.
Does a slide sheet or a draw sheet come in the box?
No. The sheet can be used with a slide sheet underneath, and it can be used as part of the bed make-up with a draw sheet. Ask us if you need either quoted with it.
