Savaria Fasttrack System

(0 review)

The Savaria FastTrack System is a ceiling rail and patented lock-turn bracket set for a Savaria or Handicare ceiling-lift motor. It is the track, not the motor. Westin Healthcare quotes the layout and installs it across Brampton and the GTA.

What does it fit? Savaria names FastTrack for new M-Series installs, including the Savaria M-Series lithium-ion ceiling lift and the portable Monarch on a trolley. We also quote this rail family for the Handicare C450 and C625 after a room survey. It is not the FST-300 gantry.

Description

The Savaria FastTrack System is a ceiling rail and patented bracket set for a Savaria or Handicare ceiling-lift motor. It is the track, not the motor. Westin Healthcare is an official Savaria Patient Care dealer. We survey the room, quote the rail, and install it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

Savaria designed FastTrack so an installer locks each bracket with a simple turn of the factory tool. The same family covers a straight run, a 45 or 90 degree curve, a full-room XY grid, and a multi-room path. Hardware is matched to wood, steel, or concrete. You still need a motor, a carry bar, and slings. Those are separate lines on the quote. Start with the Savaria M-Series lithium-ion ceiling lift or the Handicare C450 if you do not already have a motor.

Who it is for

This rail is for a person who needs regular overhead transfers in rooms that can take a rated ceiling track, and who wants Savaria's current lock-turn bracket system rather than a floor-standing gantry. Homes, group homes, and care rooms use it when we can plan a path over the bed, the chair, and often the bathroom. It is not the right product when the building cannot take ceiling hardware. In that case we quote a freestanding rail instead of stretching this system.

  • Home bedrooms and bathrooms that can take a rated ceiling rail
  • Long-term care and hospital rooms that need a straight run, a curve, or an XY grid
  • Sites adding a room or replacing an older Handicare or Savaria rail after we check the structure

Which lifts this rail carries

Compatibility is the fact that matters. FastTrack is the rail. The motor you hang in it is a separate product. Savaria names FastTrack brackets on the M-Series Essential card for new installs, and the FastTrack card lists the whole M-Series family as related products. We also quote this rail family for the Handicare C-Series and A-Series motors we already sell, after a room survey. The installed working load is always the lowest rating among the rail, the motor, the carry bar, and the sling.

  • Savaria M-Series lithium-ion ceiling lift (286, 440, or 600 lb Essential / Clinical family). Savaria names FastTrack brackets for new installs of this motor.
  • Savaria M-Series Bariatric (800, 1000, or 1200 lb). The FastTrack card lists this cabin as a related product. Savaria does not print a FastTrack safe working load, so we rate the exact extrusion before we pair it with that cabin.
  • Handicare C450 (450 lb) and Handicare C625 (625 lb). These C-Series motors run on the Handicare / Savaria rail family we install as FastTrack. Ask us to match the rail to the motor on your quote.
  • Handicare A450. A-Series sibling on the same Patient Care rail family.
  • Savaria Monarch portable lift. The portable M-Series motor hangs on a trolley in the rail. The trolley is a separate line.

This is not the Handicare FST-300. The FST-300 is a 300 lb floor-standing gantry for a portable motor. It does not mount in the ceiling. If the room cannot take FastTrack, we quote that gantry instead.

What you get and how it is built

A FastTrack order is a room layout, not a single boxed length. Savaria supplies the rail, the patented FastTrack brackets, and the install tool the technician uses to confirm each anchor is locked. Hardware is chosen for the structure we find: wood joists, steel, or concrete. Straight rail covers a bed-to-chair path. A 45 or 90 degree curve turns a hallway or a bathroom door. An XY system is an H-shaped pair of parallel rails with a moving cross rail, so the motor can reach anywhere inside that rectangle. Savaria also names a gate so an XY room can join a neighbouring room, such as bedroom to bathroom.

The rail does not include a motor, a carry bar, slings, or a portable trolley. Westin writes those lines on the same quote so nothing is assumed. Savaria's ceiling-lift brochure shows an aluminium extrusion and the FastTrack bracket. The FastTrack card itself does not print a rail weight, a stock length, or a safe working load. We take those numbers from the room survey and from the motor you pick.

Savaria FastTrack System specifications

These figures are for the Savaria FastTrack System. They come from Savaria's live FastTrack card and the Savaria ceiling-lift brochure that names FastTrack. They are not the FST-300 gantry sheet and not an M-Series motor sheet.

FastTrack is a dealer-installed ceiling rail with patented lock-turn brackets and a matching install tool. Structures named on the card are wood, steel, and concrete. Layouts named on the card are straight rail, 45 degree and 90 degree curves, room-covering designs, multi-room designs, and an H-shaped XY system with an optional gate. Care settings on the card are home, long-term care, and acute care. The card does not print a safe working load, a rail weight, or a warranty year-count. The installed system is limited by the lowest rating among the rail we hang, the motor, the carry bar, and the sling.

Do not read the FST-300's 300 lb frame onto this ceiling rail. Do not read a 1200 lb claim onto FastTrack from the M-Series Bariatric cabin or the Track Bridge.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up the Savaria FastTrack System across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We survey the room, install the rail, and if a motor is on the same quote we show you the hand control before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a ceiling lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased track is delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

Ceiling track is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the rail is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service, repairs, and warranty

When something on the rail needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Savaria FastTrack warranty

Savaria's current FastTrack card does not print a simple year-count warranty for the rail. We handle the claim with you. Ask us what term Savaria is shipping with your layout. Labour is confirmed on the order.

Frequently asked questions

Does FastTrack include the lift motor?

No. FastTrack is the rail and the brackets. The motor, carry bar, and slings are separate lines. A Westin quote lists them together so nothing is assumed.

Which motors run on FastTrack?

Savaria names FastTrack for new M-Series installs (Essential, Clinical, Bariatric, and the portable Monarch on a trolley). We also quote this Handicare / Savaria rail family for the Handicare C450, the Handicare C625, and the Handicare A450 after we survey the room.

Can FastTrack take the M-Series Bariatric cabin?

The FastTrack card lists that cabin as a related product. Savaria does not print a FastTrack safe working load. We rate the exact extrusion before we pair it with an 800, 1000, or 1200 lb motor. Do not plan 1200 lb on this page alone.

Is FastTrack the same as the FST-300?

No. FastTrack is a ceiling-mounted rail. The Handicare FST-300 is a 300 lb floor-standing gantry. Use the gantry when the building cannot take ceiling hardware.

Can the rail go from the bedroom into the bathroom?

Savaria describes a single track through a notched doorway, and an XY gate into a neighbouring room. A sliding door does not leave room for the rail. We check the door and the joists on the survey before we promise that path.

Do I need to open the ceiling?

Yes. FastTrack brackets fix to wood, steel, or concrete above the finished ceiling. That is why this is a scheduled install, not a same-day box drop. If you cannot open the ceiling, ask us about a freestanding rail instead.

What is the safe working load of FastTrack?

Savaria does not print a FastTrack number on the current card. The installed system is limited by the lowest rating among the rail we hang, the motor, the carry bar, and the sling. Ask us which rail and motor are on your quote before you plan around 600 lb or any higher figure.

What slings fit a FastTrack setup?

The slings that match the carry bar on the motor in the rail. Use universal, full-body, toileting, or divided-leg slings rated for that bar. Do not put a sit-to-stand sling on an overhead motor. Shop universal slings, full-body slings, toileting slings, and divided-leg slings.

How fast can FastTrack be set up in the GTA?

Westin's team surveys, then installs on a scheduled date after the quote is agreed. Call (905) 451-7743 for the next opening. Same-day delivery belongs to the rental service, not automatically to a purchased rail.

What is the warranty?

Savaria's current FastTrack card does not print a year-count for the rail. Westin Healthcare processes the warranty work. Details are on our service and repairs page.
