The Whitmyer Heads Up Head Support is Sunrise Medical's anterior-plus-posterior wheelchair head support for Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Swing-out arms stabilize the shoulders and trunk so the head pad can work.

This is a quote-only configured head support. The arms, the posterior pad, and the hardware are configured together. It is not a PLUSH pad alone.

Who this head support is for

The Whitmyer Heads Up Head Support fits a person whose seating therapist wants anterior, posterior, and lateral contact in one Whitmyer system. The posterior pad is either a Contoured Cradle or a Single Sub-Occipital. A seating therapist should confirm the size. This page does not give clinical positioning advice.

Arms, covers, and mount hardware

The Whitmyer Heads Up Head Support arms swing out for transfers. Lower laterals on the arms can be moved for different body shapes. Covers are Lycra or Dartex Reversed only. Fleece is not on the Heads Up card. Six Whitmyer hardware families are printed on the adult cards: Axys, Onyx, Linx, Pro, Cobra Xtra, and Cobra Xtra Flip Back. The pad and the hardware are separate order lines. We measure the back before we pick a stem. We do not invent a cane diameter. The 2.8 / 3.5 / 4.1 / 5.3 inch figures are printed as sizes; the card does not label what those inches measure, so the quote will confirm the dimension on the order form.

Stay here if this pad is the brief. The Whitmyer PLUSH is the basic posterior pad. The Specialty PLUSH adds Adjust-a-Plush, Dual Mount, and 12 inch narrow. The Contoured Cradle cradles the occiput. The S.O.F.T. Single and S.O.F.T. Dual add sub-occipital pads. The Heads Up adds anterior arms. The Cuddles Infant System is the infant size. The Spex Stylo Head Support is the long-reach Spex stem.

Funding help for a wheelchair cushion or back support in Ontario

This cushion or back support is an ADP positioning device category item. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of positioning devices such as cushions and back supports when they are prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist with an eligible mobility device, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every product qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin's own team delivers this head support across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, check it against the wheelchair, and show you the cover and any hardware before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sample first. For a scheduled in-home drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased seating is delivered on a scheduled date after the assessment and quote.

Sunrise Medical's Canadian Whitmyer cards print that warranty coverage can vary from one province to another depending on funding requirements. We handle the warranty claim with you and will read the owner's manual that ships with the pad. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
