Description
The Hoyer Elevate is Joerns' 440 lb sit-to-stand lift (stand aid). Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Joerns prints a safe working load of 440 lb (200 kg) on the current Elevate spec sheet.
This is an active lift. Joerns says a sit-to-stand lift works for residents who can bear some weight. It is not a full-body Hoyer. The sling is sold separately.
Who this lift is for
This lift is for a person who can still bear some weight, fits inside 440 lb, and has been assessed for a stand-aid sling. If the person cannot take their own weight, see the Hoyer Presence or the Hoyer Advance. If the stand aid has to fold, see the Hoyer Journey at 341 lb.
- Seated-to-seated transfers when the person can bear some weight
- Powered legs and a 440 lb rating
- Optional scale so weighing happens during the transfer
Kneepad, foot tray, and scale
Joerns lists a one-hand adjustable kneepad, an angled removable foot tray, a rubber push pad, and Smart Monitor. The Elevate "has been designed to be configured either with or without a weigh scale." That is why this page has two configurations.

How to buy, delivery and setup
The price is the lift. HST is extra. A Hoyer sling is sold separately unless the configuration you pick is a kit that names a cradle or scale. Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the controls and the emergency functions before we leave.
You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service. Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor and stand-aid lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund patient lifts, slings, or other lifting devices. ADP funds, on purchase only, at 75% of the approved price: manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, seating, and wheeled walkers for adults. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases.
Routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: Ontario Health atHome (call 310-2222), March of Dimes Canada for low-income applicants, ODSP, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
Warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
