It is applied while the person is lying on their back. Once the patient has been transferred, this sling can be left in-situ, subject to an appropriate risk assessment. Westin Healthcare quotes the family in Brampton and fits it across the Greater Toronto Area.

Silvalea makes the current articles in Superfine PLUS spacer so the sling can remain in position under the patient subject to a risk assessment. Apply it while the person is supine. Silvalea states it is suitable for amputee scenarios. This is not a sit-to-stand sling, and the sizes in this picker do not add a sewn-on head-support panel.

What you get
You get one In-Situ Recline sling in the article on your quote. The body is Silva-Superfine PLUS, a 3D spacer fabric with two-way stretch. Loops are fixed and colour-coded. The seat is closed: a pommel strap sits between the legs, and Silvalea designs the shape for closed-leg full-body support. Loops are supplied for hip tapes. Soft binding is standard. A lift is sold separately.
The same colour loop should be used on both sides. Record the loop colours in the care plan so the next transfer matches the last one.

Silvalea prints a centimetre chart for the Superfine PLUS recline family. Dimension A is seated hip girth. Dimension B is the back-to-knee length. C is sling width and D is sling height. Confirm the size with a clinician or our staff before first use.

Every Superfine PLUS size is 220 kg (485 lb). Fabric is Silva-Superfine PLUS spacer. Attachment is loop. Medium M921507-M is 96-108 cm at the hips and 104-116 cm back to knee. There is no sewn-on head-support panel on F15 / M921507. Manufacturer warranty is 12 months. Inspect loops, binding, and fabric before every use and after every wash, and take the sling out of service if you find tears, fraying, or an illegible label.

Care and laundering
Wash at 71 C (159 F) with a non-biological detergent. Tumble dry on low heat, no hotter than 50 C. Do not iron. Close any hook-and-loop before the sling goes in the washer. Follow the tag on the sling you receive. Inspect tapes, seams, and fabric after every wash.

Attachment and compatible lifts
The In-Situ Recline Sling with Loops is a loop sling. Fixed colour-coded loop tapes seat on a loop-type carry bar. It does not use clip fasteners and it does not use Human Care E-clips.
Silvalea makes this style for hoists with a loop fixing spreader bar. On our floor that is the Handicare C450, the Handicare C625, the Handicare A450, the Handicare AP300 portable motor, the Savaria M-Series ceiling lift, and the two-point SlingBar on the Handicare Carina 350. Shop related seated styles in universal slings and full-body slings.
The finished transfer is limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling. A Carina 350 transfer stays inside 350 lb even though this sling is 485 lb. This sling is not for a sit-to-stand lift. It is not for a Human Care mushroom bar.
If you want a seated loop sling with a commode opening, start with the Handicare Universal Sling. If you want the Handicare spacer sling we already stock without a recline closed-leg shape, stay with Comfort Care (8E4401 Medium with hip strap, and the rest of that family).

Once the patient has been transferred, this sling can be left in-situ, subject to an appropriate risk assessment. Silvalea chose Superfine PLUS for that leave-in-place use. Apply the sling while the person is supine.
Is it suitable for an amputee transfer?
