Description
The Golden Dione lift chair is Golden Technologies' DeLuna 4-zone MaxiComfort recliner, model PL446, with PowerPillow and power lumbar standard. Westin Healthcare sells it, delivers it, and sets it up for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Two sizes cover the Dione: PL446-MED Medium and PL446-LAR Large.
Golden's Canada sheet rates both sizes 400 lb (181 kg). Four comfort zones move the footrest, backrest, headrest, and lumbar on their own from the AutoDrive hand control. A USB port sits on the outside arm. Lithium-ion battery backup is on the sheet. This is not a Twilight chair.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for someone who wants MaxiComfort plus a powered headrest and lumbar in a seamed DeLuna chair, without Twilight tilt and without Golden's crossover fabric program. Families usually call us when a 2-zone Cloud or MaxiComforter leaves the neck and lumbar to pillows.
It is not the 1-zone Elara. That is the Golden Elara PL-118. It is not the open-arm Rhea. That is the Golden Rhea. If you want Twilight on a Cloud, see the Golden PR515.
- 4-zone MaxiComfort DeLuna with PowerPillow and power lumbar
- 400 lb (181 kg) on Medium and Large
- Imagine Antler, Fog, or Lakefront; no crossover fabrics
4-zone MaxiComfort positioning
The Dione keeps Golden's MaxiComfort infinite recline and adds two more zones: an articulating PowerPillow headrest and power lumbar. Golden's 4-zone law is footrest, backrest, headrest, and lumbar, each from AutoDrive. Dual motors move the backrest and seat on their own. Whisper-quiet is Golden's word for those motors.
Twilight tilt is not on this chair. Heat and massage are not on the Canada Dione sheet.
Size and wall space
Golden's Canada sizing chart prints Medium as 5'4" to 5'10" (163 to 178 cm) and Large as 5'11" to 6'2" (180 to 188 cm). We confirm the fit in the showroom against the seat numbers.
PL446-MED: seat 22 inches (56 cm) wide and 21 inches (53 cm) deep, floor to seat 20.5 inches (52 cm), back 28 inches (71 cm), arm 7 inches (18 cm), overall 34 inches (86 cm) wide and 43.5 inches (110 cm) tall, 24 inches (61 cm) from the wall, 42.5 inches (108 cm) of reclined extension.
PL446-LAR: seat 22.5 inches (57 cm) wide and 21.5 inches (55 cm) deep, floor to seat 22 inches (56 cm), back 30 inches (76 cm), arm 7.5 inches (19 cm), overall 35 inches (89 cm) wide and 46 inches (117 cm) tall, 26 inches (66 cm) from the wall, 44 inches (112 cm) of reclined extension.

Ask us for Medium or Large and for Antler, Fog, or Lakefront. Golden's Canada Dione card states crossover fabrics are unavailable on this model. Heat and massage is not a Dione option on the current sheet.
3-position, MaxiComfort, or 4-zone
Golden's Canada lineup is a comfort-zone ladder, not a Pride VivaLift clone. A 1-zone chair is a 3-position lift chair: the back and footrest travel together on a two-button hand control. Our 1-zone Goldens are the Comforter PR-531, the Comforter Wide, the Elara, the Aurora, and the Austin.
A 2-zone chair adds MaxiComfort so the back and footrest travel on their own. That is the Cloud PR-510, the MaxiComforter PR-535, and the Relaxer.
A 4-zone chair keeps MaxiComfort and adds a powered headrest and powered lumbar: the Cloud Plus, the EZ Sleeper Slim, the Dione, and the Rhea. Twilight is a fifth zone on chairs we already sell, starting with the Golden PR515 Cloud with Twilight. None of the chairs on this Golden Classic set is a Twilight chair.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Lift chairs are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Golden manufacturer warranty
Golden warrants the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism to the original purchaser for life against breakage from defective materials or workmanship. Labour on those parts is subsidized for three years. Electrical parts (hand control, motor, transformer, control box, heating pad, massage unit) are covered for three years, then prorated in years four through seven. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. The warranty is residential only. It does not cover misuse, non-residential use, or exceeding the printed weight capacity. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Golden Dione lift chair is sold in Medium and Large. Medium (PL446-MED) has a 22 inch (56 cm) seat, 20.5 inch (52 cm) seat-to-floor, and 24 inches (61 cm) from the wall. Large (PL446-LAR) has a 22.5 inch (57 cm) seat, 22 inch (56 cm) seat-to-floor, and 26 inches (66 cm) from the wall. Both are rated 400 lb (181 kg). We confirm the fit in the showroom.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Golden Dione lift chair needs 24 inches (61 cm) from the wall in Medium and 26 inches (66 cm) in Large when it is fully reclined. This is not a wall-hugger.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together through sit, TV, and recline. An infinite-position Golden MaxiComfort chair moves them on their own, so the person can sit up with the legs out or lie flatter. Golden's 4-zone chairs add a powered headrest and lumbar on top of that MaxiComfort motion. Twilight, sold on other Golden pages, adds a fifth tilt zone.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Dione?
The Golden Dione lift chair is rated 400 lb (181 kg) on Golden's Canada sheet, Medium or Large. Stay at or under that rating.
What Fabrics Can I Choose?
The Golden Dione lift chair is sold in Imagine Antler, Fog, and Lakefront. Golden's Canada card states crossover fabrics are unavailable on this model.
Does the Dione Have a Power Headrest?
The Golden Dione lift chair includes Golden's PowerPillow articulating headrest and power lumbar as standard. Those are two of the four comfort zones on AutoDrive.
Does the Dione Have Twilight?
The Golden Dione lift chair does not have Twilight. It is a 4-zone MaxiComfort DeLuna chair. Twilight is the fifth zone on other Golden pages, including the PR515 Cloud with Twilight.
Can Funding Help With a Lift Chair in Ontario?
Funding support for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Westin Healthcare works with funding programs every week. Start on our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
What Is the Warranty on the Golden Dione?
The Golden Dione lift chair carries Golden's lifetime coverage on the chair frame, lift frame, and recline mechanism for the original purchaser, three years on electrical parts, then a prorated schedule through year seven. Mechanical labour is subsidized for three years. Electrical labour is subsidized for one year. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
