The Freedom Transfer Patient Lift is a sling-free seated transfer lift from Climbing Steps. It moves a person who can sit with support between a bed, chair, toilet, or similar surface without hanging them in a traditional sling. Choose the Freedom Transfer when the person needs a seated transfer and a caregiver wants to avoid placing a full-body sling for every move. Manufacturer pages rate the standard Freedom at 300 lb (136 kg) with a compact frame of about 47 lb. It is not waterproof. For wet rooms, ask us about Freedom Aqua or a dedicated bathing plan.
How the transfer works
The split seat opens so the person can enter from the front or side, then closes under them for a supported seated ride. Powered height from about 19 in to 29 in helps match bed, chair, and toilet heights. Locking casters hold the lift still while loading. A built-in commode opening and removable pail support toileting when that is part of the care plan.
