What is the EZee Fold 5G Ultra Light Folding Power Wheelchair CH4070?

The EZee Fold 5G Ultra Light (CH4070) is EZee Life's lightest folding power wheelchair. The chair weighs 37.5 lb (17 kg), carries a rider up to 220 lb (100 kg), and its 10.4 Ah, 24 V lithium-ion battery is good for up to 15 km (9.3 miles). Who is it for?

It suits a rider at or under 220 lb who lifts a travel chair into a car trunk often and wants the lightest EZee Fold. It is not a bariatric chair. For more capacity, look at the 6G or 4G models below.

How does it work?

Twin 150 W, 24 V motors power the 8 in drive wheels; the front casters are 5 in. Top speed is 4.5 km/h (2.8 mph). The joystick mounts on the left or right armrest, and the brakes engage on their own when you let go of it. To push the chair by hand, pull and turn the centre of each rear wheel to freewheel. The battery box lifts out for charging indoors, or you can charge it in place. Charging takes up to 7.5 hours.

Size and fit

The seat is 18.1 in (46 cm) wide and 15.75 in (40 cm) deep, 20.7 in (52.5 cm) from the floor. The back is 15.4 in (39 cm) high and the armrests sit 9.5 in (24 cm) above the seat. Open, the chair is 32.9 in (83.5 cm) long, 22.2 in (56.5 cm) wide and 35.4 in (90 cm) high. Folded, it is 14.7 in (37 cm) wide. It turns in a 35.4 in (90 cm) radius.

• CH4070 5G if you are at or under 220 lb and want the lightest EZee Fold.

Care and warranty

EZee Life warrants the frame for 5 years and the motors for 2 years. The battery, joystick and remaining parts carry 1 year, and wear parts are excluded. Keep the lithium battery dry, use the charger supplied with the chair, and stay within the 220 lb capacity. Do not drive across slopes steeper than 6 degrees, and do not climb a slope without the anti-tippers fitted. Keep to steps of 1.6 in (40 mm) or less.
