What it does

A stand-up sling has to match the fitting on the carry bar. A clip sling finishes in a moulded plastic clip that seats in a clip holder. A loop sling finishes in a fabric loop that goes over a loop pin. The two do not swap, and there is no safe way to make one work on the other.

That leaves a facility with a real problem when the lift and the slings disagree: a cupboard full of loop slings and a lift with clip pins on the bar. This kit is Beka's answer. Swap the clip pins for the loop pins in the kit and the lift matches the slings you already own.

Which lift it fits

It fits the Beka Nora Alu. That is the aluminum standing and raising aid rated 200 kg (440 lb), sold here as the Nora Alu in clip connection (921071008). If you are buying a new lift and you already run loop slings, the Nora Alu in loop connection arrives with loop pins already fitted, so you do not need this kit at all.

It does not fit the Beka Nora Pro. The Pro is a different machine and its connection is a factory choice, ordered as 921078000 with the clip connection or 921078001 with the loop connection. Beka publishes no conversion kit for the Pro. If you have a Pro and the connection is wrong for your slings, call us and we will work out the best route with you rather than sell you a part that will not fit.

Slings to order with it

Once the loop pins are on, the lift takes loop-terminated stand-up and raising slings, and only those. Clip slings will not seat on a loop pin, so plan the sling order at the same time as the pin order.

Remember that when a lift, a carry bar and a sling are assembled, the lowest rating in the assembly is the rating of the whole system. Beka also asks the caregiver to check before every lift that all clips or loops are correctly fixed to the spreader bar and that the sling and its fittings are undamaged.
