Hoyer Classic U-Sling Padded

The Classic U-Sling Padded is Joerns' 4-point general-purpose sling for Hoyer legacy floor lifts. Westin Healthcare sells it in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Joerns' family brochure describes it as an easy-fit sling for about 85% of patients, with or without head support. This listing is the padded version without the head-support panel.

Who this sling is for

This sling is for a person whose clinician named a Hoyer Classic U-sling, and whose lift is a 4-point Hoyer classic (HML400, HPL402 or CHLA-2), not a 6-point Advance. Families usually call us when they already have that older Hoyer bar and they need a padded divided-leg sling, not a Quickfit.

Bar and lift

Joerns prints this sling on the Classic loop page with HML400, HPL402 and CHLA-2. HPL402 is 400 lb on Joerns' HPL402 page. The lower of the sling rating and the lift rating governs the transfer. Joerns: Hoyer slings and lifters are not interchangeable with other manufacturers.

Size and colour

Joerns colour bands on the sling chart are the sizing source. Recommended weight range is a guideline only.

Small (Red) 75-150 lb, SKU 70003. Medium (Yellow) 125-200 lb, SKU 70002. Large (Green) 175-350 lb, SKU 70001. Extra Large (Blue) 275-500 lb, SKU 70000. Confirm with a clinician or our staff before the first use.

Classic U-Sling Padded specifications

These figures are from the Joerns sling chart (6190208 RevC) and the October 2025 Hoyer family brochure. Joerns' U-Sling module prints 500 lb / 227 kg. The classic chart header on the same page prints 600 lb. We publish 500 lb from the product module and we still cap the transfer at the lift. EN ISO 10535. Wash 185 F / 85 C, no bleach. Classic warranty 6 months.

How to buy, delivery and setup

The price is the sling in the size you pick. HST is extra. There is no lift in the box. Westin can ship the sling on its own, or send it with a Hoyer lift on a scheduled GTA delivery.

You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you want to see a sling on a bar first. Call (905) 451-7743 to book. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service when a lift and sling go out together. Purchased slings ship on a scheduled date.

This sling is a small parcel. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships on its own. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Funding help in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund slings, patient lifts, hospital beds or mattresses. ADP purchase funding, at 75% of the approved price, is for manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, seating, and wheeled walkers for adults. OHIP does not reimburse a sling purchase.

If money is the barrier, start with Ontario Health atHome (310-2222) and March of Dimes Canada for low-income applicants. Toronto's Hardship Fund names lifts and slings on its published list. Care, cleaning and warranty

Joerns: machine wash warm, do not exceed 185 F / 85 C. Do not wash with bleach. Cool tumble dry, air dry, or dry at very low temperature. Do not dry clean. Inspect stitching and fabric before every use. Destroy and discard a bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken sling. Do not alter slings.

When something needs work, you call the shop that sold it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.

Joerns Hoyer manufacturer warranty

Joerns' 2025 Hoyer sling warranty covers Classic slings for 6 months from purchase by the original owner. Wear from regular use sits outside that term. We handle the claim with you.
