Quantum TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion

The Quantum TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion is the back cushion Stealth Products builds for Quantum seating: contoured foam behind the spine, adjustable positioning, and pressure management where the back meets the backrest. It is the cushion-class counterpart to rigid back supports, for riders whose posture is served by contouring rather than by a modular frame. Westin Healthcare sizes it with the seating and ships and fits it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

It is compatible with both the TRU-Balance 3 power positioning systems and the static seat frame system, which is the compatibility line Quantum Canada prints, and it is the back cushion of record on Quantum order forms that carry TRU-Comfort 2 seating lines.

What it does

A back cushion has two jobs: manage pressure along the spine and the shoulder blades, and hold a comfortable, stable shape behind the trunk. The TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion does both with a shaped foam build wrapped in a four-way stretch cover. The cover stretches with the contour, recovers its shape, resists fluids and stays breathable, so the cushion keeps its shape through daily use instead of packing flat where the spine presses hardest.

Positioning is adjustable: the cushion works with the seating geometry to give lumbar support and pressure relief where the assessment calls for it. On a TRU-Balance 3 system that support travels with the seat through tilt and recline, keeping the same contact pattern through the movement.

One honest note from the same source: CoolCore cooling fabric, standard across most of the Stealth cushion line, is not available on the TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion. The cover's breathability is the ventilation story on this product, and we say so rather than imply the cooling fabric is fitted.

Which seats it fits

The compatibility list is short and specific: TRU-Balance 3 Power Positioning Systems, and the Static Seat Frame System. TRU-Balance 3 is the seating generation on Quantum bases such as the Edge 3 family and the Q6 Edge HD. If the build is on the newer TRU-Balance 4 or another manufacturer's seating, this is the wrong back cushion, and the right answer is the seating maker's own back line.

The sibling product in the name is the TRU-Comfort 2 SPP seat cushion class: same family, different job. The seat cushion carries the CoolCore cover and the deep-contour skin protection base; the back cushion carries the stretch recovery cover described above. Ordering one does not order the other.

Can it manage a scoliosis curve?

Does it work with tilt and recline?

On TRU-Balance 3 systems, yes, that is its home. The cushion travels with the seat through the tilt and recline arc, holding its contact pattern through the movement.

How is it cleaned?

The cover is fluid-resistant and breathable. Quantum publishes no separate care sheet for the back cushion; follow the cover care that comes with it, and ask us for the current guidance if yours did not arrive with one.

What warranty carries?

Stealth's warranty repairs or replaces products with defects in material or workmanship, at their discretion, and excludes misuse, abuse, misapplication and unauthorized modification, consistent with the published Stealth warranty language across the cushion line.
