Description
The Power Plus Relax Multi-Axis Headrest, preset MAHF, is a wheelchair head support built in Brampton by Power Plus Mobility. Westin Healthcare sells it and can fit it across the Greater Toronto Area. The MAHF package is an S-bend multi-axis neck, a large contoured pad, and the UHRA 1/2 inch universal headrest plate.
Power Plus prints the ADP seating code SE0001542 on this preset and on the other MAH pad packages that share the same neck and plate. Use Head Pad Size if you need a smaller pad than the large contoured pad that ships on MAHF.
Who this headrest is for
This headrest is for a person who already has a wheelchair with a 1/2 inch headrest receiver, or who is having that plate fitted, and who needs the head held in a chosen position. Families usually call us when a sling back alone does not keep the head centred, or when an authorizer has asked for a multi-axis head support.
It is not a neck collar and it is not a complete seating system. If you still need the chair itself, start with our standard wheelchairs and we will tell you whether that frame can take the UHRA plate.
- Someone who needs adjustable head support on a wheelchair
- A chair that can take a 1/2 inch UHRA-style plate
- A pad size that matches the person's head, not a guess
Design and build
The neck is a multi-axis S-bend on a 1/2 inch tube. The joints let the shop set height, depth, and angle so the pad meets the head where the person sits. Power Plus also lists an L-bend neck and fixed vertical-horizontal necks on the same form. MAHF is the S-bend package.
The standard MAHF pad is the large contoured pad. Other official pads on the same family are a medium contoured pad, a small flat pad, large and medium flex pads, a large square pad, and a large polyurethane pad. Covers are Standard Darlex or TEK-4 Black waterproof. The mount is the UHRA 1/2 inch universal headrest plate. Power Plus builds these parts in Canada.
- Multi-axis S-bend neck, 1/2 inch
- Large contoured pad on the MAHF preset
- UHRA 1/2 inch universal headrest plate
- Standard Darlex or TEK-4 waterproof cover
- Made in Brampton, Ontario
Power Plus MAHF specifications
These figures are from the Power Plus Headrest and Hardware order form dated 2020-03-25. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Preset code MAHF. Neck MAH, multi-axis S-bend, 1/2 inch. Pad on this preset: contoured, large. Mount: UHRA universal headrest plate, 1/2 inch. Family ADP code SE0001542. Cover choice: Standard Darlex or TEK-4 Black. Power Plus does not print pad width, pad height, or a weight on that form.
Power Plus does not print a warranty term on the order form. Westin Healthcare processes any manufacturer claim with you.
Head Pad Size
Use Head Pad Size to pick the pad that matches the person.
- SMALL (6" W x 3.5" H): the smaller pad Westin stocks on this family
- MEDIUM (10" W x 5" H): the mid pad Westin stocks on this family
- LARGE (14" W x 5" H): the large pad, which is the pad Power Plus puts on the MAHF preset
Power Plus names those pads by shape (contoured, flat, flex, square, polyurethane) rather than by those inch labels. Call (905) 451-7743 if an authorizer has named a specific pad code such as MAHKP or MAHFT.
Which chairs this fits
Power Plus includes the UHRA 1/2 inch universal headrest plate with the MAHF package. That is the common headrest-plate mount, not a promise that every wheelchair already has a matching receiver. Confirm the chair can take a 1/2 inch UHRA-style plate before we order.
Power Plus does not publish a chair-by-chair fit list. We will not name a chair model unless that maker says the plate fits. Bring the chair, or a photo of the back canes and any existing headrest bracket, to a Brampton or Toronto store and we will check the mount.
- Fits a wheelchair that already has, or can take, a 1/2 inch UHRA-style headrest plate
- Does not replace a whole backrest
- Does not mount to a chair with no headrest receiver unless we add the plate and the chair allows it
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team can deliver and fit this headrest across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area, on its own or with a wheelchair setup. When we install it, we set the plate, the neck, and the pad and show you the lock points before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the headrest first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased accessories are delivered on a scheduled date.
This is a small carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships without a wheelchair. If it travels with a wheelchair, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Frequently asked questions
What does MAHF mean?
On the Power Plus form, MAHF is the Multi-Axis Headrest, S-bend, 1/2 inch, with the large contoured pad and the UHRA plate. It is a package code, not a second product.
What is SE0001542?
It is the ADP seating code Power Plus prints beside the MAH presets. The same code sits on several pad packages. It is not a unique factory size. Tell us the pad you need as well as that code.
Will this fit my wheelchair?
It fits a chair that can take the UHRA 1/2 inch universal headrest plate. Power Plus does not name individual chair models. Bring the chair or a clear photo of the back and we will check the mount before we order.
Is this made in Canada?
Yes. Power Plus Mobility builds it in Brampton, Ontario. The order form address is 208 Wilkinson Road.
How do I choose a pad size?
Use Head Pad Size for the three pads we stock. The official MAHF preset is the large contoured pad. If an authorizer named a medium contoured or small flat pad, ask us for MAHKP or MAHFT so we order the right shape, not only a size label.
Can I wash the cover?
Power Plus lists a Standard Darlex cover, a TEK-4 Black waterproof cover, and a removable MAHF cover. Follow the care tag on the cover you receive. Do not soak the foam pad.
What is the warranty?
Power Plus does not print a term on the headrest form. If a part arrives damaged or fails early, call Westin Healthcare and we will run the manufacturer claim with you.
Do I need a therapist to order this?
You can buy it as a retail accessory. If a therapist or authorizer is involved, bring their pad and hardware notes so we match the official Power Plus code, not only a size name.
