The Drive LK3JELR hangers are a black pair of swing-away elevating legrests for named Drive wheelchairs. Westin Healthcare sells the pair and can fit it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Each hanger lifts the lower leg, swings out of the way for a transfer, and comes off the frame.

Drive lists this SKU for Blue Streak, Silver Sport 1, Silver Sport 2, Silver Sport Reclining, Cruiser III, Cruiser X4, and Poly-Fly. It is not the Sentra pair. Sentra EC, Sentra HD, and Sentra Reclining use Drive STDELR-TF. Extra-wide Sentra chairs use Drive PHELR.

Who these hangers are for

This pair is for a person whose Drive chair is on that fit list and who needs the legs raised, for swelling, a cast, or comfort, instead of sitting with the feet on standard swing-away footrests. Families usually call us when they already have a Cruiser X4, Silver Sport, Blue Streak, Cruiser III, or Poly-Fly and want to swap the hangers.

It is not a complete wheelchair. If you still need the chair, start with the Drive Cruiser X4 or a Drive Poly-Fly TR18 and order the hangers with that frame.

Design and build

Each hanger mounts on the front of the frame, swings out, and lifts through a range so the footplate sits higher than a standard 70 degree rest. Drive's photos show a padded calf pad and a footplate on each side. On Cruiser and Silver Sport chair sheets, Drive describes the matching elevating hangers as swing-away with tool-free length adjustment.

The pair is black. Drive sells it as one set, not as a single left or right hanger. The calf pad can be moved aside when the person stands or slides across. These are replacement hangers, not a change to the chair's weight rating. Keep the rating printed on the chair.

Is this the same part as Drive STDELR-TF?

No. LK3JELR is the pair for Blue Streak, Silver Sport, Cruiser III, Cruiser X4, and Poly-Fly. STDELR-TF is the pair for Sentra EC, Sentra HD, and Sentra Reclining. PHELR is the extra-wide Sentra pair. Using the wrong SKU is how hangers fail to drop into the frame.

Will these fit a wheelchair that is not on Drive's list?

Drive names only the chairs in the list above. We will not promise a fit on another brand or model. Bring the chair so we can see the hanger receivers, or ask us for the hanger that belongs to that frame.

Do they fit a Drive Sentra?

Not this SKU. Ask us for Drive STDELR-TF on a standard Sentra, or PHELR on a 26 to 30 inch extra-wide Sentra.

Do they change the chair's weight capacity?

No. Keep the capacity printed on the wheelchair. These are hangers, not a new frame.

Can I buy only the left or only the right?

How do I put them on?

They drop into the front hanger receivers the same way the swing-away footrests do. Swing them out to transfer. We will fit them and show you the motion if we deliver them with the chair.

What is the warranty?

Drive's current LK3JELR sheet does not print a term. If a pair arrives damaged or a weld fails early, call Westin Healthcare and we will run the manufacturer claim with you.

Can I get elevating hangers on a new Cruiser X4 instead?

Yes. The Drive Cruiser X4 can be ordered with elevating hangers. If you already own the chair, this LK3JELR pair is the add-on Drive names for that frame.
