Description

The Ki Mobility Catalyst 5Ti is a titanium folding wheelchair in Ti3AL/2.5V alloy. Westin Healthcare configures it to an occupational therapist or physiotherapist prescription and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program lists Catalyst 5 and 5ti together under device code WMA3KI010. It is not the aluminum Catalyst 5 and it is not the Catalyst 5Vx. It is not an off-the-shelf chair that ships the same day you click buy.

Ki's current spec table lists an 18.8 lb standard chair, a 10.8 lb transport weight with the footrest and rear wheels off, and a 300 lb standard rating (350 lb heavy duty). Seat width runs 14 to 22 inches and seat depth 14 to 20 inches. The frame itself is not painted. An ADP-registered therapist assessment comes first.

Who this chair is for

This chair is for a person who needs a long-term ultralight folding wheelchair, who fits Ki's 300 lb standard rating (or the 350 lb heavy-duty option), and who wants titanium instead of 7000 series aluminum. Therapists pick the 5Ti when they want the Catalyst axle story with a scratch-resistant, corrosion-resistant frame.

If the therapist wants the aluminum flagship, see the Catalyst 5. If they want Ki's value folding frame, see the live Catalyst 5Vx. If they want a Category 2 folder, see the Catalyst 4 and 4C.

  • A folding titanium ultralight built to prescription
  • Ki's 5Ti frame, 18.8 lb standard weight, 300 lb rating
  • Someone who can self-propel, or who may be pushed

Design and build

The Catalyst 5Ti uses Ti3AL/2.5V titanium for the side frames. Ki says that alloy has about twice the strength-to-weight of 6061 aluminum and resists scratches and corrosion. An optional titanium cross-brace takes about another half pound off the frame. The Universal Axle Plate is the same family hardware as Catalyst 5: seat-to-floor in half-inch steps and a 3 inch centre-of-gravity range.

Camber is 0, 2, or 4 degrees. Front seat height starts at 15 inches, two inches higher than the aluminum Catalyst 5. Colour sits on the accents only (forks and axle plate). The frame is not offered in gloss, matte, or hydrographic paint. Ki's April 2026 5Ti form lists Twist and a 300 lb transit option that is not available with the 350 lb rating.

  • Ti3AL/2.5V titanium side frames
  • Optional titanium cross-brace
  • Universal Axle Plate, 3 inch centre-of-gravity range
  • Accents only; no painted frame
  • Optional WC-19 transit at 300 lb

Ki Mobility Catalyst 5Ti specifications

These figures are for the Catalyst 5Ti on Ki Mobility's current product card, the shared DCN0446.1 brochure, and the April 2026 5Ti order form, sold here under ADP code WMA3KI010. The specification tab holds the stored values. Do not mix them with Catalyst 5 aluminum weights or with Catalyst 5Vx.

Standard weight 18.8 lbs (8.5 kg). Transport weight 10.8 lbs (4.9 kg) on a 16 by 16 inch frame with 5 by 1 inch poly casters and swing-away arm receivers, footrest and rear wheels removed. Seat width 14 to 22 inches. Seat depth 14 to 20 inches. Front seat height 15 to 21 inches. Rear seat height 11.5 to 19.5 inches. Camber 0, 2, or 4 degrees. Weight capacity 300 lbs (136 kg) standard, 350 lbs (158.8 kg) heavy duty. Transit: yes, at 300 lb on the April 2026 form.

Warranty for the original purchaser is Ki's Catalyst term: lifetime on the frame, cross-braces, hangers, and quick-release axles, and one year on other parts. Expected frame life is five years. Wear items sit outside that term.

Seat width and seat depth

Use Seat Width and Seat Depth with your therapist to record the prescription. Those choices do not turn the 5Ti into a stocked cart item. Ki also builds 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 22 inch widths. Ask us if the prescription falls outside the values on Seat Width or Seat Depth. The frame colour is titanium. Accents are chosen on the Ki form, not as a storefront colour list.

Catalyst 5Ti or another Ki folding chair

The Catalyst 5Ti is the titanium Catalyst folder. The Catalyst 5 is the 7000 series aluminum sibling on the same ADP code. The live Catalyst 5Vx is the value aluminum folder under WMA3KI015. The Catalyst 4 and 4C are the Category 2 pair. If the therapist wants a current Ki rigid, start with the Rogue 2 or the Ethos.

Funding help for a wheelchair in Ontario

This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers and sets up this chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after the prescription is built. We bring it in, unfold it, and show you the wheel locks, the fold, and the axle and hanger setup before we leave.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a titanium folder first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.

If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty

When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace. ADP does not pay for repairs.

Ki Mobility manufacturer warranty

Ki Mobility warrants the Catalyst frame, cross-braces, hangers, and quick-release axles for the life of the original purchaser, and all other parts for one year from first consumer purchase. Wear items are outside that term. The expected life of the frame is five years. We handle the claim with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is The Catalyst 5Ti The Same As The Catalyst 5?

The Ki Mobility Catalyst 5Ti shares ADP code WMA3KI010 with the aluminum Catalyst 5. The 5Ti frame is Ti3AL/2.5V titanium. The aluminum 5 is 7000 series. Front seat height on the 5Ti starts at 15 inches, not 13.5.

What Does Category 3 Mean On The Catalyst 5Ti?

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program lists Catalyst 5 and 5ti as an Adult Lightweight Performance manual wheelchair. Dealers often call that Category 3. The 5Ti has the Universal Axle Plate, quick-release axles, and anti-tippers on the Ki order.

Who Qualifies For ADP On This Chair?

You must be an Ontario resident with a valid Ontario health card and a disability that needs a mobility aid for six months or longer. An ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist has to assess you before anyone orders the chair. Income is not part of the test.

How Does The 75 / 25 Split Work?

For eligible clients, ADP pays 75 percent of the approved price and the person pays 25 percent. People on Ontario Works, ODSP, or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities can be covered at 100 percent of that approved price. Extra items outside the ADP chart are billed separately.

Can The Frame Be Painted?

Ki does not offer frame colour on the Catalyst 5Ti. Colour sits on the accents. The tubes stay titanium.

How Long Does ADP Take?

The ministry says it aims to review a mobility application within eight weeks of receiving it. That is ADP's stated aim, not a Westin delivery date. After approval we order the Ki frame to the prescription and book a setup date.

Can I Try A 5Ti Before The Order?

Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and ask what we can show. A floor chair will not match every prescribed size, and it may be an aluminum Catalyst rather than titanium.

What Is The Weight Capacity?

Ki lists 300 lbs as standard and 350 lbs on the heavy-duty option for the Catalyst 5Ti. Transit on the April 2026 form is written at 300 lb and is not available with the 350 lb rating.

Does The Catalyst 5Ti Take Klaxon Twist?

Ki's April 2026 5Ti form and the 5Ti product page list Twist. Twenty-one and 22 inch seats are not available with Twist. See the Klaxon Twist page.

What Is The Warranty?

Lifetime on the frame, cross-braces, hangers, and quick-release axles for the original purchaser, and one year on other parts. Wear items are outside that term. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.

What Happens If ADP Declines The Application?

ADP sends a letter with the reason and how to follow up, including an appeal. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will read the letter with you. Other routes sit on the funding page.
