What is the Geo-Matrix Bold?
It is Blake Medical's heavy gel cushion. The gel is a grid. Blake's construction is three 1 inch purple gel layers inside a foam border, a closed-cell foam base, and one 1 inch green gel layer across the top. The picture on this page is that stack, from Blake's own product drawing. The cushion you receive also has two covers: a soft outer cover that is incontinent-proof, and an inner cover you can wipe.
Who is it for?
Blake describes it for people at high risk of skin breakdown, including existing pressure injuries from stage I to IV, and for people who cannot reposition themselves. It is also the Geo-Matrix cushion Blake rates for bariatric use, up to 600 lb (272 kg). It is a cushion, not a complete seating assessment. A therapist should confirm the size and the skin risk before you rely on it.
What size is in stock?
20 inches wide by 20 inches deep. Blake's size code for that cushion is GBO2020. The stock record also carries catalogue code SE0001608. Two are on hand. Blake makes other widths and depths. Some of those sizes are on the same product record without a cost, so they are not offered at this price. Call Westin if you need a different size.

How does it compare?
The Gold is a thinner cushion, 3 inches, rated to 250 lb, with two blue gel layers and one green layer. The Silver is a separate Geo-Matrix cushion already on the site. Bold is the one Blake rates to 600 lb. All of them sit on the gel cushions page. Blake has not published a Bold-only brochure we can attach.
