What is the BIOS BD735?
It is the black K-style quad cane from BIOS Medical. Four slip-resistant rubber tips and a large base keep it standing when you let go. The offset foam handle is meant to take stress off the wrist. A cane strap is included. BIOS lists a 1 year warranty and a 300 lb weight capacity.
How tall is it?
BIOS lists the handle height from 29 to 38 inches (74 to 97 cm), in 1 inch steps. To set it, stand with your arm at your side and choose the button that puts the grip near your wrist. A second person can help. If the cane is for unsteady balance, have a clinician size it.
How is a K-style base different from a small base?
The K-style footprint on this cane is 8 1/8 by 6 1/8 inches. That is a wider stance than the Drive small-base quad cane. A wider base is steadier and takes more room around chair legs. This page is the black BD735. BIOS sells the same cane in blue as BD734.
