Description
The Savaria Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops is a fully padded sit-to-stand vest with under-arm padded rolls, a hook-and-loop chest closure, and a clunk-click buckle. Savaria Patient Care lists it for people who can take part in a weight-bearing stand and who use a sit-to-stand lift with loop attachments. Westin Healthcare quotes the family in Brampton and fits it across the Greater Toronto Area on loop stand-aid bars.
This is the loop Stand Assist Standard. A clip Stand Assist Standard is a different article with its own codes. It is a loop sling. It does not use clip or stud fasteners. If the lift on the floor is a MiniLift, ask us for the Thorax sling that belongs on that lift. If the person needs a seated transfer on a loop carry bar rather than a stand-assist vest, start with the Handicare Universal Sling.
Who this sling is for
The Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops is for a person who can bear weight, can take part in a sit-to-stand, and needs a padded vest around the back and chest while a loop stand-aid lift brings them up. The caregiver applies it from a seated position. It is a stand-assist sling. It is not a full-seat transfer sling, and it is not a leave-in-place sling.
- Sit-to-stand and standing transfers on a loop stand-aid lift
- A person who can place their arms over the vest so the chest strap can close in front
- Home care and healthcare settings where the person is working on standing strength
- Users inside 600 lb (272 kg), limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling
What you get
You get one Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops in the article on your quote. The body is 100% polyester and fully padded, with padded rolls under the arms. The chest support closes with hook-and-loop and a clunk-click buckle. Loop straps hang on the hooks on each side of a stand-aid lift. A lift is sold separately.
Open the chest support and place the sling around the back. Bring the person's arms over the vest. Close the hook-and-loop around the chest (just under the bust for a woman), then fasten and tighten the buckle. Put the matching loop on each side of the stand aid and check that both loops are seated before the lift starts. After a short raise, check the buckle again and tighten it if needed.
Sizing
Savaria prints an A, B, and C chart for Small through XXL. A is the torso circumference around the seated chest. B is the laid-flat width of the sling. C is the laid-flat height of the padded panel. People of the same height or weight can still need different sizes. A sling that is too large can let the person slip. Confirm the size with a clinician or our staff before first use.

Savaria Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops specifications
These figures are for the current loop Standard family, not the clip Standard, and not a corset, roll, or Stand Aid sling. The specification tab holds the stored values.
The current instructions list 600 lb (272 kg) for this family. Fabric is 100% polyester and fully padded. Attachment is loop. Medium M921519-M is 38-1/4 to 46 in at the torso, 35 in laid-flat width, and 8-3/4 in panel height. Wash at 95 C (203 F). Tumble dry on low heat, max 50 C. Inspect loops, the buckle, hook-and-loop, and seams after every wash.
Sizes and options
Use the Size selector to pick the factory article on your quote:
- M921519-XS: Extra Small
- M921519-S: Small
- M921519-M: Medium
- M921519-L: Large
- M921519-XL: Extra Large
- M921519-XXL: XXL
This listing is quote-only. The sling on your quote is the article you pick. A clip Stand Assist Standard is quoted on its own card when the lift uses stud or clip fixings.
Care and laundering
Close all hook-and-loop before the sling goes in the washer. Wash at 95 C (203 F) with a non-biological detergent. Tumble dry on low heat, max 50 C. Do not iron. Follow the tag on the sling you receive. Inspect fabric, seams, the buckle, hook-and-loop, and loops after every wash.
Store it dry and clean with the hook-and-loop closed so the fabric does not snag. Take the sling off after the transfer.
Delivery in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team can deliver this sling across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area, on its own or with a sit-to-stand lift setup. We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a sling first. For a scheduled drop-off or a fitting, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works.
This is a small carton. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods can apply when it ships without a lift. If it travels with a patient lift, the lift is oversized and White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Attachment and compatible lifts
The Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops is a loop sling. Loop straps seat on the hooks on each side of a sit-to-stand / stand-aid lift. It does not use clip or stud fasteners and it does not use Human Care E-clips.
Silvalea states that this article is for a suitable loop lift and a stand aid, and that loop straps belong only on a loop-type bar. On our floor we already sell sit-to-stand lifts such as the Span America F500S. Tell us the make of the boom before we write the quote so we can confirm those hooks are loop stand-aid hooks. If the lift is a Handicare MiniLift, ask us for the Thorax sling made for that lift. If the person rises on a Handicare ReTurn, that path uses a ReTurnBelt rather than this vest. Shop related styles in sit-to-stand slings.
The finished transfer is limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling. An F500S transfer stays inside 500 lb even though this sling is listed at 600 lb.
If the carry bar uses clip or stud fixings, see the Stand Assist Standard Sling with Clips. A corset-style stand assist, a roll-style stand assist, and a Stand Aid sling are different articles, quoted on their own cards.
Service, repairs, and warranty
When something on the sling needs work, you call the shop that sold it, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department.
Savaria / Silvalea manufacturer warranty
Silvalea warrants its slings for 12 months from the date of purchase. We handle the claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
What model is this?
It is the Savaria Stand Assist Standard Sling with Loops, listed by Savaria Patient Care and made by Silvalea. Medium is M921519-M. Extra Small through XXL follow the same M921519 size letters. Padded polyester vest with loop straps.
Is this a loop sling or a clip sling?
Loop. Loop straps on the hooks of a sit-to-stand / stand-aid lift. It does not use clip or stud fasteners or Human Care mushroom E-clips. A clip Stand Assist Standard is a different article.
What is the safe working load?
600 lb (272 kg) on the current family instructions. The finished system is limited by the lowest rating among the lift, the bar, and the sling.
Which size should I order?
Use the A, B, and C chart as a starting point, then confirm with a clinician or our staff before first use. Extra Small has no published torso band on the current chart, so we will match that size with you. We will set the selector to one manufacturer article.
Does it fit a sit-to-stand lift we already sell?
It fits a sit-to-stand or stand-aid lift that uses loop hooks on each side of the boom. Tell us the lift make before we quote. A MiniLift uses a Thorax sling. A ReTurn uses a ReTurnBelt. An F500S transfer stays inside 500 lb.
How is this different from the clip Stand Assist Standard?
This card is the loop Standard, M921519. The clip Standard uses clip or stud fixings and has its own M921526 codes. Ask us for the card that matches the boom on the floor.
How is this different from a corset, roll, or Stand Aid sling?
This is the padded Standard vest with loop straps. A corset-style stand assist, a roll-style stand assist, and a Stand Aid sling are different cuts with their own codes. Ask us for the card that matches the lift and the person's standing ability.
Does the person need to bear weight?
Yes. Savaria states that weight-bearing ability is required. If the person cannot take part in the stand, ask us for a seated full-body sling and a floor or ceiling lift instead.
How do I wash it?
Close the hook-and-loop, wash at 95 C (203 F) with a non-biological detergent, and tumble dry on low heat, max 50 C. Do not iron. Follow the sling tag. Inspect loops, the buckle, and seams after every wash.
Does funding cover a sling in Ontario?
Slings follow the funding path of the lift they are used with. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will check the sit-to-stand lift and the sling together.
