Description
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4 wheel scooter is Pride Mobility's lighter take-apart 4-wheel travel scooter. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a take-apart travel scooter. It does not fold as one piece.
Discontinued: Pride has discontinued the Go-Go Ultra X and it is no longer sold new. Its closest current Pride models are the Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 and the Go-Go Sport 4-Wheel. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will match you to the right current scooter.
Pride's current spec table rates the S49 at 300 lbs (136 kg), speeds up to 4.1 mph (6.6 km/h), a 52.25 inch (132.7 cm) turning radius, and up to 8.9 miles (14.3 km) at 200 lbs or 6.6 miles (10.6 km) at 300 lbs. Feather-touch disassembly splits the scooter into five pieces. The heaviest piece is the 34.5 lb (15.6 kg) front section.
Who this scooter is for
This scooter is for a person who stays at or under the 300 lb rating, fits Pride's 17 by 17 inch compact seat, and wants 4-wheel stability on the light Ultra X platform. Families usually call us when they need a 4-wheel that comes apart for a car trunk and they do not need the Sport's 325 lb rating or the LX springs.
If you want a tighter indoor turn on the same platform, see the Pride Go-Go Ultra X 3-Wheel. If you want 325 lbs and EZ Turn, start with the Pride Go-Go Sport 4-Wheel. If you want the tightest Pride 4-wheel turn, see the Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2. This is the S49 Ultra X, not the newer Ultra X Gen 3, and it is not a folding scooter.
- Daily paved use with 4-wheel stability
- A 34.5 lb heaviest piece and a drop-in 12 Ah battery box
- A 300 lb rating at 4.1 mph
Range, speed, and batteries
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel travels up to 8.9 miles (14.3 km) per charge at 200 lbs (91 kg), and up to 6.6 miles (10.6 km) at the 300 lb rating, on two 12 Ah sealed batteries. Pride's footnotes say range changes with rider weight, terrain, battery charge, battery condition, and tire condition, and that the number can move 10 percent either way. Do not treat 8.9 miles as the figure at 300 lbs.
Top speed is up to 4.1 mph (6.6 km/h). The charger is a 2-amp off-board unit. Pride puts charger ports on the tiller and on the drop-in battery box, so you can charge on-board or off-board. Charge time depends on how empty the pack is. We do not print an hour figure Pride does not print.
Portability and transport
Pride calls this one-hand / feather-touch disassembly. The compact seat lifts off, then a release splits the front and rear of the base. Pride lists five lightweight pieces. The heaviest piece is the 34.5 lb (15.6 kg) front section. The scooter weighs 81.5 lbs (37.0 kg) without batteries and 101 lbs (45.8 kg) with batteries.
Pride designed the five-piece split for a car trunk. It is not a one-piece fold and it is not an airline-compliant lithium scooter. The pack is sealed lead-acid. If you need a Pride scooter Pride describes as airline-compliant, look at the Pride Go-Go Carbon and still ask the airline before you fly.
Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel specifications

Travel scooter or full-size, 3-wheel or 4-wheel
The Ultra X 4-Wheel is a travel scooter that comes apart. It is not a full-size outdoor scooter and it is not a folder. The Ultra X 3-Wheel turns in 36.5 inches. The Sport 4-Wheel adds EZ Turn, 325 lbs, and 18 Ah range. The Elite Traveller 2 turns in 37 inches on four wheels.
Funding help for a mobility scooter in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a mobility scooter when the need is long-term and the scooter is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every scooter qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this mobility scooter across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble the five pieces, and show you the tiller, the drop-in battery box, and the disassembly before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a travel scooter first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased scooters are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
This mobility scooter is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the scooter is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the scooter needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's current Ultra X table is lifetime limited on the frame, 2-year limited on electronics and drivetrain, and 6 months on batteries for the original purchaser. Pride Canada's scooter insert prints 13 months on sealed batteries. Wear items such as tires, shrouds, and upholstery sit outside that term. Gradual battery wear from storage, cold, or heavy use is outside the battery term. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Can I take a mobility scooter on a plane?
Pride does not print an airline-compliant claim for the Go-Go Ultra X. The pack is two 12 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries, not a cabin lithium box. If you need a Pride scooter Pride describes as airline-compliant, look at the Go-Go Carbon and still ask the airline before you fly.
3 wheel vs 4 wheel scooter?
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel keeps four wheels and turns in 52.25 inches. The Ultra X 3-Wheel turns in 36.5 inches and uses a 29.5 lb front section. Choose four wheels for outdoor stability. Choose three wheels for indoor corners. Both are 300 lb Pride travel scooters.
What is the turning radius of a 4 wheel scooter?
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel turns in 52.25 inches (132.7 cm). That is wider than the Sport 4-Wheel at 41.5 inches and the Elite Traveller 2 at 37 inches.
Will a travel scooter fit in a car?
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel is built to come apart for a car trunk. Pride lists five pieces. The heaviest single piece is 34.5 lbs (15.6 kg).

What is the weight capacity of a travel scooter?
The Pride Go-Go Ultra X 4-Wheel is rated at 300 lbs (136 kg). Stay at or under that rating.
Can I use a mobility scooter in the rain?
Pride tells Go-Go riders to find shelter in rain or snow and to avoid large puddles. Water can harm the electronics and rust the frame. If the Pride Go-Go Ultra X gets wet, Pride says to dry it, let it sit in a warm dry place for 12 hours, then check the tiller and brakes before you ride again.
Does ADP cover scooters?
