Description

The Drive rotating suction-cup grab bar is Drive's 19.75 in RTL13084 bar with three suction cups, locking latches, and a green/red colour indicator. Drive prints it for additional stability when entering and exiting the tub or shower. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and across Ontario. This is not a wall-mount grab bar.

Drive's caution on the current spec sheet: the grab bar is to be used as a balance assist only. It is not intended to support body weight, and body weight should not be applied to the grab bar. If a device is required to bear any body weight, or is used for leverage, Drive recommends a traditional, permanently mounted grab bar.

Who this suction grab bar is for

The Drive RTL13084 is for a person who wants a 19.75 in portable bar on a smooth, non-porous surface, will use it as Drive prints (balance assist only), and will check the green indicator before each use. Families here usually call when they want a tool-free bar they can move, not a stud-mounted rail.

  • 19.75 in overall length, about 1.0 lb, limited lifetime (Drive)
  • Locking latches and green/red colour indicators on the suction cups
  • Rubber non-slip grip and molded finger grips on the underside (Drive)

How Drive says to install it

Drive prints that the bar is easy to install or remove with locking latches that secure it in place. Colour indicators show a safe, airtight seal: green means the grab bar is secure and ready for use; red means the seal is not airtight. Drive also prints: before each and every use, make sure the grab bar is securely attached. If it can be moved or feels at all loose, flip up the latches and reattach in accordance with the Drive instructions. Ensure that reattachment is secure before use.

Drive does not print a stud-finder step for this SKU. This bar uses suction cups, not wood screws. We will not invent tile, grout, or fiberglass rules beyond that sheet. Follow the Drive carton instructions.

Drive RTL13084 specifications

These figures are from Drive's current Rotating Suction-Cup Grab Bar spec sheet (HCPCS E0241). The specification tab holds the stored values. Use Drive when they fight.

Maker: Drive Medical. SKU RTL13084. Length 19.75 in. Product weight 1.0 lb. Carton shipping weight 3.5 lb. Warranty: limited lifetime. Drive does not print a pound capacity on this sheet. Stay inside Drive's balance-assist use.

Suction cup or wall-mount grab bar

This bar is Drive's rotating suction-cup model. It does not replace a stud-mounted rail when the person needs a bar that can take body weight or leverage. The HealthCraft Easy Mount knurled grab bar is the Ontario-made 1.25 in wall bar with a 9-hole flange. HealthCraft prints that proper installation of that bar means it is firmly secured into a wall stud, or with HealthCraft's own hollow-wall anchor sold separately. An AquaSense rotating-flange chrome bar, such as the AquaSense knurled chrome grab bar with rotating flange, is a screw-mount chrome line, not a suction cup.

This Drive suction-cup bar does not use studs. Drive prints locking latches and a green/red seal indicator, and says to reattach if the bar feels loose.
