The SPAN Ergonomic Transport Dolly is a two-piece set that clips to both ends of a matching SPAN long-term care bed so staff can move the empty frame through a doorway or elevator, store overflow beds on their side, and tip the bed for under-bed service. Westin Healthcare is an official Savaria Patient Care dealer. We quote the set and deliver it across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

SPAN sells two codes. Q6699 is the set for the SPAN America Encore and for SPAN ReadyWide. Q6587 is the set for the SPAN America Advantage and for legacy Rexx and Rexx Fast frames. The codes are not interchangeable. This is a bed accessory, not a patient lift and not a dolly for Drive, Joerns, or other non-SPAN beds.

Who it is for

This set is for a long-term care home, retirement residence, or service team that already runs SPAN Encore, ReadyWide, or Advantage beds and needs a manufacturer-matched way to roll those frames between rooms. Purchasing and maintenance usually call us when beds have to pass a narrow door, when overflow inventory needs to stand on its side, or when a technician needs clear access under the deck. It is not for moving a bed with a person on it.

Which beds this fits

Fit is by manufacturer code, not by sleep width. SPAN prints two sets. Pick the code that matches the bed family, then confirm the frame stamp (MC9, MC7, or QD1000) before we ship.

• Q6699 fits the SPAN America Encore (MC9RW, MC9RZ, MC9RWZ). SPAN's ReadyWide brochure uses the same Q6699 code on MC7W, MC7WM, MC7WL, MC7WML, and MC7WPML. Westin stocks ReadyWide as MC7W. Ask us to match that frame before you order.
• Q6587 fits the SPAN America Advantage (QD1000, QD1000MLF, QD1000Y, QD1000YMLF), including the boxed QD1000MLF mobility and floor-lock build. SPAN also names legacy Rexx and Rexx Fast on this code.

Q6699 does not clip to an Advantage or Rexx. Q6587 does not clip to an Encore or ReadyWide. Neither set fits a Drive, Joerns, Harmony, Permobil, or Rotec frame. SPAN's Weigh Scale bed card mentions side-carrying dollies but does not print a code; call us with that serial before you order a set for it.

If you are already buying an Encore from us, tell us you need the dolly so we add one Q6699 set on that order. You do not need to buy the same pair twice.

What you get and how it attaches

Each order is a set: one unit for the head end and one for the foot end. SPAN's card says the pair attaches easily to both ends of the bed. Once the latches are on, staff can roll the empty bed or tip it onto the dolly casters so the deck stands on its side. SPAN's brochure names three jobs: relocate the bed, store overflow inventory in less floor space, and reach under-bed components for service.

The Encore and ReadyWide owner's manuals list the option as "Bed Transport Dollies" and print a set weight of 21.5 lb for that family (Q6699). The Advantage manual names the option and does not print a weight for Q6587. SPAN does not print overall dimensions or a separate safe working load for the dolly. The bed keeps its own rating: 600 lb on Encore, 500 lb on Advantage, 500 lb or 650 lb Plus on ReadyWide.

SPAN lists two manufacturer codes, Q6699 and Q6587. A set is a head-end unit and a foot-end unit. Q6699 weighs 21.5 lb per the Encore INST1313 and ReadyWide MC7 manuals. Attachment is both ends of the matching SPAN bed. Warranty for bed accessories is 1 year for the original purchaser. SPAN does not print a dolly length, width, height, or an independent capacity.

Dolly set options

Use Dolly set to pick the code that matches the bed. The default is Encore and ReadyWide (Q6699). There is no width or length picker. Boards, rails, and mattresses stay on the bed listing.

Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA

Westin's own team delivers the SPAN Ergonomic Transport Dolly across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We can send it with a SPAN bed delivery, or on its own. If it travels with a bed, we bring the bed in, assemble it, and show you the hand control before we leave. If the dolly ships alone, we can walk you through clipping the pair onto both ends of the matching SPAN bed.

We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see the set first. For a scheduled drop-off, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased equipment is delivered on a scheduled date.

When the dolly ships with a hospital bed, the bed is oversized and the Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the set is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Service, repairs, and warranty

When something on the set needs work, you call the shop that supplied it, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

SPAN manufacturer warranty

SPAN's owner's manuals for Encore, Advantage, and ReadyWide print a 1-year term on bed accessories for the original purchaser. Labour is not included. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.

Which dolly code do I need?

Q6699 for a SPAN Encore or SPAN ReadyWide. Q6587 for a SPAN Advantage, Rexx, or Rexx Fast. The two sets do not swap. Read the frame stamp or send us a photo of the serial label and we will confirm the code before we quote.

Does Q6699 fit the SPAN Encore?

Yes. SPAN's Encore brochure and the standalone dolly card both name Q6699 as the Transport Dolly Set for Encore. That is the set you get when you pick Encore and ReadyWide (Q6699).

Does Q6699 also fit SPAN ReadyWide?

Yes. SPAN's ReadyWide brochure lists Q6699 as the bed transportation system on the MC7 family, including ReadyWide Plus. Westin stocks ReadyWide as MC7W. Ask us to match that frame before we quote.

Does Q6587 fit the SPAN Advantage?

Yes. SPAN's Advantage brochure and the dolly card name Q6587 for Advantage, Rexx, and Rexx Fast. Use that code on the SPAN America Advantage, including the QD1000MLF mobility and floor-lock build.

Will this set fit a Drive or Joerns hospital bed?

No. SPAN writes these latches for SPAN bed ends only. A Drive Delta, PrimeCare, Joerns, Harmony, Permobil, or Rotec frame needs a different accessory. Call (905) 451-7743 with that model before you order any dolly.

Can someone stay on the bed while it is on the dollies?

No. SPAN describes the set for moving, storing, and servicing the bed. Tip and roll the empty frame only. Use a rated patient lift when a person needs to leave the room.

What is in the carton?

I am buying an Encore. Do I order the dolly here as well?
