Description
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 is Pride Mobility's Saville-fabric power lift recliner in Medium PLR-958M and Large PLR-958L. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride's US page marks Legacy 2 discontinued and points new factory orders at Tranquil 2. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will tell you what we can still supply.
Pride's Legacy 2 spec table rates both sizes at 400 lbs (181 kg) with true-infinite positioning, a power headrest, power lumbar, an independent backrest, and a standard footrest extension. A lithium backup pack keeps the chair usable if household power fails. Saville Wine is the colour Pride printed as exclusive to this collection.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 400 lb rating and wants a quieter Saville VivaLift rather than heat pads or a wireless phone pad. Choose Medium if Pride's 5'4" to 5'9" (163 to 175 cm) guide and 22 by 21.5 inch seat fit. Choose Large if you need the 23 by 22 inch seat and the 5'10" (178 cm) and above guide.
If you want a current Pride chair in more than two sizes, start with the Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2. If you want a 21 inch medium that Pride still lists as current, see the Pride VivaLift Metro 2.
- Infinite-position VivaLift with a memory toggle remote
- Two Pride sizes: PLR-958M and PLR-958L
- Saville Brown, Saville Grey, or Saville Wine
Positions and controls
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 uses true-infinite positioning. The backrest and footrest move independently, so the feet can sit above the heart. Pride's toggle remote stores two favourite positions. There is no heat system and no hideaway wireless pad on the official feature list.
The lithium backup is there so the lift still runs when the room loses power. The chair is not a substitute for a caregiver when the person cannot use a hand control.
Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 specifications
These figures are for the Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 as printed on Pride's PLR-958 specification table. The specification tab holds a generic family bucket. Use this table when they fight.

Size and colour
Use Choose Size for Medium or Large. Use Choose Color for Saville Brown, Saville Grey, or Saville Wine. Those three colours are the set Pride printed for Legacy 2.
Legacy 2 or Tranquil 2
Legacy 2 is the discontinued Saville VivaLift in two sizes. Pride's current size-ladder chair is the Tranquil 2, which adds Petite Wide and Large/Tall on the Canada card. A 3-position Pride Elegance such as the LC-570 keeps the back and footrest on one path.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
A lift chair is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Legacy 2 sheet prints a 7-year pro-rated limited warranty for the original purchaser. Pride's lift-chair insert also keeps a lifetime term on the lift and scissor mechanism and the lift frame, and 12 months on the lithium backup pack. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 400 lb rating voids the Pride warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 Still Current?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 is marked discontinued on Pride's US product page, which no longer accepts new factory orders and points shoppers at Tranquil 2. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will tell you what we can still supply.
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 comes in Medium PLR-958M (22 by 21.5 inch seat, 5'4" to 5'9") and Large PLR-958L (23 by 22 inch seat, 5'10" and above). Sit in both if you can. Height guides are only a start.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 needs 16 inches (41 cm) from the wall in both Medium and Large, as printed on Pride's spec table.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together. The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 is infinite: the backrest and footrest run on their own, so you can raise the feet without dropping the back to match.
Does ADP Cover Lift Chairs?
Funding for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Some programs help with mobility equipment. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Does a Lift Chair Work During a Power Outage?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 includes a lithium backup pack so the lift and recline can still run if household power fails. Pride warrants that pack for 12 months.
What Colours Does the Legacy 2 Come In?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 is sold in Saville Brown, Saville Grey, and Saville Wine. Pride printed Wine as exclusive to this collection.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Legacy 2?
The Pride VivaLift Legacy 2 is rated at 400 lbs (181 kg) in both Medium and Large. Stay at or under that rating.
