Description

N165 is the Joerns head-section angle indicator. Care teams use it to see the back-rest angle on a Joerns frame. Joerns did not print a degree scale on the sheets we opened, so this page does not invent one. This is not kit N501AL (UBED angle indicator), which is a different Joerns code.

Who this indicator is for

This indicator is for a Joerns bed when the care plan asks to see the head-section angle at the frame. It is not a staff control and it is not a pendant.

Funding help for a hospital bed in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds. The provincial ADP page lists hospital beds and mattresses under equipment it does not cover. OHIP does not reimburse this purchase. Ontario Health atHome (310-2222) and March of Dimes Canada can help some low-income applicants. Veterans Affairs Canada, WSIB, ODSP discretionary benefits, and private insurance are the other common routes. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week.
