Pride Elegance LC-108 Infinite Position Lift Chair

The Pride Elegance LC-108 lift chair is Pride's classic Elegance infinite-position power lift recliner in Medium. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride no longer cards the LC-108 on the Pride Canada shop. Pride's March 2024 Canada Elegance sheet rates the LC-108 at 375 lbs (170 kg) with a 19.5" by 20" (49.5 by 50.8 cm) sinuous-spring seat. The backrest and footrest move independently, including a Trendelenburg pose with the feet above the head. The hand control is Pride's Easy Touch USB remote. This is not a 3-position chair and it is not a VivaLift.

Who this lift chair is for

This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 375 lb rating, sits well in a 19.5 inch medium seat, and wants independent back and footrest on a classic Elegance rather than a current VivaLift. Families usually call us when napping with the feet up matters, and they still want a sewn pillow back that looks like living-room furniture.

If you want the current Pride chair that still uses the Elegance name, start with the Pride VivaLift Elegance 2. That chair is infinite-position with power headrest and lumbar. If you want a 3-position classic Elegance, see the Pride Elegance LC-570.

Infinite-position recline and lift

An infinite-position Pride lift chair moves the back and footrest on their own. You can raise the feet without dropping the back to match, including a Trendelenburg pose with the feet above the head. A 3-position chair such as the LC-570 cannot do that.

Pride prints an integrated battery backup. The 9-volt cells are not included. Pride's 2024 Elegance sheet does not print heat and massage on the LC-108, and Total Comfort Seating is printed as not available on this model. USB on the Easy Touch hand control is standard unless a heat and massage option is later added.

Fit and wall clearance

Pride's March 2024 Canada Elegance sheet prints the LC-108 as Medium, 5'4" to 6'0", seat-to-floor 19" (48.3 cm), seat 19.5" wide by 20" deep (49.5 by 50.8 cm), back 30" (76.2 cm), 26.5" (67.3 cm) from the wall, 30.5" (77.5 cm) overall, 136 lbs (61.7 kg). Measurements may vary by about 1 inch (2.5 cm). Pride's 2020 Elegance sheet still prints a 24 inch wall gap. We use the 2024 sheet when they fight.

Classic Elegance infinite, or the VivaLift Elegance 2

The LC-108 is the classic infinite Elegance with a sewn pillow back and a 26.5 inch wall gap. The LC-570 is the 3-position Elegance size ladder. The VivaLift Elegance 2 is Pride's current Elegance name: infinite-position, power headrest and lumbar, not this chair. The Essential LC-107 is the infinite Essential at a lower capacity. Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Pride's Elegance collection, Canada only, and model 108, is lifetime limited on the steel lift frame and 7-year pro-rated limited on the motor, hand control, transformer, and scissor. Years 1 to 4 are repair or replace. Years 5 to 7 follow Pride's printed 25, 15, and 5 percent schedule. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 375 lb rating voids the warranty.
