Joerns UltraCare XT Length Extension

N341AL and N348AL are the UltraCare XT length kits. The 2026 UltraCare XT spec lists 4 in and 8 in length extension and overall bed lengths of 85.5, 89.5 and 93.5 in. The Joerns list names N348AL as the 4-8 inch extender. We do not pretend that SKU is only 8 in.

Who this extension is for

This kit is for a taller person on a Joerns UltraCare XT whose deck is still 80 in. The EasyCare kits (N301AL / N302AL) do not bolt to an UltraCare XT.

If the bed is an EasyCare, use the EasyCare length extension. If it is a WeCare, use the WeCare 4 inch kit.

Mattress, bolster and foot panel

Joerns UltraCare XT Accessories sheet shows a foam bolster to fill the extra foot length. The manuals: use a mattress that matches the new length, and use a foot panel. Do not sit on the extender without a foot panel. A 2012 accessories line paired 4 in with 35 in frames and 8 in with 42 in frames. The 2026 spec no longer prints that pairing, so we do not treat it as current law. We confirm width and length on the frame sticker.

UltraCare XT 2026 spec: sleep deck 35 x 80 in, length extension options 4 in and 8 in, overall bed length 85.5, 89.5, 93.5 in, safe working load 650 lb on the bed (not a kit rating). SKUs N341AL and N348AL, UPCs 810055882632 and 810055882649.

How to buy, delivery and setup

The price is the UltraCare XT length extension. HST is extra. Westin Healthcare delivers and fits it to the matching Joerns bed across Brampton and the GTA. We confirm the bed model on the frame sticker before we book the visit.

Visit the Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you want to see a Joerns frame first. For a scheduled in-home fit, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is the hospital bed rental path. Purchased kits are delivered on a scheduled date. Freight outside the GTA is quoted on the order. White-Glove Delivery inside Toronto and the GTA is on the shipping policy.

Funding help in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds, mattresses or bed accessories. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases. When a Joerns kit needs work, you call the shop that fitted it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Joerns prints the long term on the bed frame (EasyCare 4 years electrical, UltraCare XT 5 years electrical, WeCare 1 year electrical). DC batteries and pendants sit on a 90 day wear term on those warranty pages. Confirm the Joerns term that applies to this kit on your order. Wear from regular use sits outside the long frame term.
