Joerns Trapeze Adapter

The trapeze adapter is the head-end kit that lets a Joerns trapeze (patient helper) attach to a Joerns bed. EasyCare, UltraCare XT and WeCare manuals all warn that a wrong install can move the head panel. This page is the adapter, not the bar.

Who this adapter is for

This adapter is for a person who already has, or is ordering, a Joerns trapeze and needs it on a Joerns EasyCare, UltraCare XT or Care 100. Families usually call when a therapist has asked for an overhead helper and the bed in the room is already a Joerns.

A free-standing frame is a different product. See the Drive 13049SV free-standing trapeze if the bed cannot take a Joerns adapter. A clamp-on bar for a metal headboard is the Drive 13009TRAPBV.

Which adapter to pick

Read the model on the bed sticker. EasyCare takes N300AL. Care 100 takes N401AL. UltraCare XT without AdvanceCare / TRT takes N579AL. UltraCare XT with AdvanceCare or Trendelenburg takes N579TRTAL. Soft Tone (the AL suffix) is Joerns almond.

WeCare manuals show a trapeze adapter and warn that some trapeze systems will not suit WeCare at low height. This wave has no WeCare adapter SKU. Ask us before you try an EasyCare or UltraCare kit on a WeCare.

Trapeze adapter specifications

These lines are from the EasyCare 600 lb manual, the UltraCare XT 650 lb manual, the WeCare manual, and the 2026 Canadian list. Joerns did not print adapter weight or a capacity on those sheets.

Job: attach the Joerns trapeze system to the named Joerns bed. Minimum 1 in clearance between the bottom of the trapeze bar and the floor at the bed's lowest height. Install the adapter, then the trapeze, then run the bed through its full height. Adjustment of a trapeze follows a healthcare professional.

How to buy, delivery and setup

The price is the adapter kit for the bed you pick. HST is extra. Westin Healthcare delivers and fits it to the matching Joerns bed across Brampton and the GTA. We confirm the bed model on the frame sticker before we book the visit.

Same-day delivery is the hospital bed rental path. Purchased panels and kits are delivered on a scheduled date. Freight outside the GTA is quoted on the order. Funding help in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds, mattresses or bed accessories. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases. Care, service and warranty

When a Joerns kit needs work, you call the shop that fitted it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Joerns prints the long term on the bed frame (EasyCare 4 years electrical, UltraCare XT 5 years electrical, WeCare 1 year electrical). DC batteries and pendants sit on a 90 day wear term on those warranty pages. Confirm the Joerns term that applies to this kit on your order. Wear from regular use sits outside the long frame term.
