Joerns N517 / N518 Mattress Side Stop

N517 is printed on the UltraCare XT 650 lb parts list as KIT, MATTRESS SIDE STOP, 76 in: two side stops, fasteners and instructions, for the 76 in head section and all foot sections. The EasyCare and UltraCare XT manuals give the stop a 0.40 lb (0.18 kg) weight.

Who this stop is for

This kit is for a Joerns UltraCare XT (or a Joerns deck that uses the same 76 in head stop) whose mattress is walking sideways. It is not a Drive mattress and it is not the four-piece retainer set.

Mattress thickness

Joerns manuals: sitting or sliding on the stop can injure skin if the mattress compresses under 1.5 in under the user's load. The mattress must fill the entire width between the stops. We will not sell this kit as a rail or as a fall mat.

How to buy, delivery and setup

The price is the kit. HST is extra. Westin Healthcare ships this stop kit from our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive. If you already have the matching Joerns bed, we can fit the kit on a scheduled visit across Brampton and the GTA.

You are welcome to bring the bed model sticker into the showroom so we confirm the kit before it leaves. For a booked fit, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is the hospital bed rental path. Purchased kits go out on a scheduled date. Freight outside the GTA is quoted on the order. White-Glove Delivery inside Toronto and the GTA is on the shipping policy.

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds, mattresses or bed accessories. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases. When a Joerns kit needs work, you call the shop that fitted it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Joerns prints the long term on the bed frame (EasyCare 4 years electrical, UltraCare XT 5 years electrical, WeCare 1 year electrical). DC batteries and pendants sit on a 90 day wear term on those warranty pages. Confirm the Joerns term that applies to this kit on your order. Wear from regular use sits outside the long frame term.
