Description
This bolster is the foam length piece Joerns uses when an 80 in sleep surface needs to become 84 in or 88 in. Every SKU in this list includes a fire barrier. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is not the metal deck extender on the EasyCare, UltraCare XT, or WeCare bed pages, and it is not the 28 in bariatric foam bolster.
Joerns' UltraCare XT page lists bed length 80 in standard, then 84 in and 88 in with length extension. Joerns' WeCare spec lists an optional 4 in extender. The UltraCare XT Accessories sheet (6180077 RevD) shows the foam bolster that sits at the foot of the mattress. Pick the width to match the mattress, not the room.
Who this bolster is for
This bolster is for a taller person on a Joerns 80 in deck that has already been length-extended, or is being length-extended in the same order. The 4 in piece is the usual 80 to 84 in step. The 8 in piece is the 80 to 88 in step. Families usually order it with a Joerns Deluxe 500 or Elite-G mattress so the foam line matches the cover.
Which size to pick
MATTEXT435CA is 4 x 6 x 35 in, the 35 in Joerns deck. MATTEXT439CA is 4 x 6 x 39 in, the Twin XL / CareWide deck. MATTEXT442CA is 4 x 6 x 42 in, the UltraWide deck. MATTEXT836CA is 8 x 6 x 36 in, the 36 in Drive-width deck. MATTEXT842CA is 8 x 6 x 42 in. There is no 8 in x 35 in row in this list, and no 4 in x 36 in row.
The metal frame extender is a different part. Order the matching EasyCare, UltraCare XT, or WeCare length extension for the steel deck, then this foam bolster for the mattress surface.

Does a 4 in bolster make an 80 in bed 84 in?
Joerns UltraCare XT lists 80 in standard and 84 in or 88 in with length extension. The 4 in foam piece is the 84 in step. The 8 in foam piece is the 88 in step. The deck itself must be extended to match.
