Joerns EasyCare Traditional 42 in Bed Panel

EXTPAN-ECS6 is the 42 in EasyCare no-staff panel. Joerns 2021 retirement notice names EXTPANEL as 42 in W. The 2026 panel sheet gives EasyCare 42 in wide as 42 x 0.75 x 18.25 in. Existing catalogue row 20458 is EXTPAN-ECS6TRDNM, currently named BED-PANEL. This family extends that template.

Who this panel is for

This panel is for an EasyCare whose sleep surface is on the 42 in width setting (CareWide or integrated width). Joerns: a standard 36 in panel on a wide kit does not meet the entrapment layout. Order this 42 in panel, not the 36 in ECS6 board.

The one Avlon SKU (EXTPAN-ECS6USCBY) is a different profile in Bayou Walnut, same price, same no-staff ECS6 stem. We do not have a Joerns Avlon photo. Traditional is the arched board on the 2026 sheet.

Width panel, not length extension

EXTPAN looks like "extension panel." On Joerns paperwork it is the 42 in wide panel, not the 4 in / 8 in deck kit. Length kits are N301AL / N302AL. Do not order this panel to make an 80 in bed longer.

Finishes

Finish codes are Joerns' own tails. Natural Maple, Spiced Cherry, Quartered Oak and Bayou Walnut are the chips on the 2026 Joerns panel sheet. Warm Walnut (WL) is still on the 2026 Canadian list even though that sheet no longer prints a WL chip.

We confirm the bed model, the finish, staff or no-staff, and whether you need a head panel, a foot panel or both before we book the visit.

Purchased panels are delivered on a scheduled date. Freight outside the GTA is quoted on the order. White-Glove Delivery inside Toronto and the GTA is on the shipping policy.

Funding help in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds, mattresses or bed accessories. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases. When a Joerns kit needs work, you call the shop that fitted it. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.

Joerns prints the long term on the bed frame (EasyCare 4 years electrical, UltraCare XT 5 years electrical, WeCare 1 year electrical). DC batteries and pendants sit on a 90 day wear term on those warranty pages. Confirm the Joerns term that applies to this kit on your order. Wear from regular use sits outside the long frame term.
