Description
The Hoyer HPL450 is Joerns' 450 lb crossover floor lift. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Joerns prints a safe working load of 450 lb (204 kg) on the current HPL450 spec sheet and names the two configurations: HPL450-EL (powered electric legs) and HPL450-ML (foot-pedal manual legs).
The boom is electric on both. The scale is optional and sold as HPL500-SCALE-IL. It is not the 400 lb HPL402 and it is not the 700 lb HPL700.
Who this lift is for
This lift is for a person who needs a full-body transfer at or under 450 lb, when 400 lb homecare is tight and a 500 lb HoyerPro frame is more than the room wants. Pick electric legs if the caregiver should not stoop to open the base. Pick manual legs if a foot pedal is enough.
Fuzzy matches to a Medline 400 lb lift and to the HML400 are different products. This page is the HPL450 only.
- Full-body transfers at or under 450 lb
- 6-point cradle as standard
- Electric or manual legs as a configuration, not two catalogues

How to buy, delivery and setup
The price is the lift. HST is extra. A Hoyer sling is sold separately unless the configuration you pick is a kit that names a cradle or scale. Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the controls and the emergency functions before we leave.
You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service. Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor and stand-aid lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund patient lifts, slings, or other lifting devices. ADP funds, on purchase only, at 75% of the approved price: manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, seating, and wheeled walkers for adults. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases.
Routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: Ontario Health atHome (call 310-2222), March of Dimes Canada for low-income applicants, ODSP, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
Warranty
When something on the lift needs work, you call the shop that set it up. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Joerns' HPL700 and HPL450 product pages link the Hoyer Classics warranty PDF. That PDF names HML400, HPL402, and C-HLA, not these model numbers. The HoyerPro PDF names HPL700 as excluded from HoyerPro. We do not print a warranty year here until Joerns Canada names the term. Ask us when you order and we will confirm it in writing.
