Description
The Hoyer Calibre is Joerns' bariatric floor lift. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes and care settings in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Joerns prints a safe working load of 850 lb (385 kg) on the current Calibre spec sheet. The scale is included, not optional.
Joerns designed the extra-wide wrap-around handle so more than one caregiver can move the lift. Twin pivoting front casters are there for thresholds. It is not the 700 lb HPL700 and it is not a sit-to-stand lift.
Who this lift is for
This lift is for a person who needs a full-body transfer above the Presence and Stature 500 lb rating, at or under 850 lb. If 700 lb is enough and you want interchangeable HPL700 cradles, see the Hoyer HPL700. If the person is inside 500 lb, the Hoyer Presence is the lighter HoyerPro frame.
- Full-body transfers at or under 850 lb
- Scale included, NAWI Class III on the spec sheet
- Powered legs and a handle built for more than one caregiver
Cradle and scale
Joerns fits a 6-point positioning cradle (19.8 lb on the spec sheet). The family brochure names a bariatric cradle for Calibre and HPL700. Use a Hoyer bariatric sling that matches that cradle. The sling is sold separately.

How to buy, delivery and setup
The price is the lift. HST is extra. A Hoyer sling is sold separately unless the configuration you pick is a kit that names a cradle or scale. Westin's own team delivers and sets it up across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, assemble it, and show you the controls and the emergency functions before we leave.
You are welcome to visit our Brampton showroom at Unit 7, 15 Fisherman Drive if you would rather see a lift first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743. Same-day delivery is offered through our patient lift rental service. Purchased lifts are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
Floor and stand-aid lifts are oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the lift is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund patient lifts, slings, or other lifting devices. ADP funds, on purchase only, at 75% of the approved price: manual and power wheelchairs, approved scooters, seating, and wheeled walkers for adults. OHIP does not reimburse these purchases.
Routes that can help when the eligibility criteria fit: Ontario Health atHome (call 310-2222), March of Dimes Canada for low-income applicants, ODSP, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and hardship programs. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 before you buy.
