This multifold ramp is for a household that wants a 6 ft grip-tape pack at a 600 lb (272 kg) rating, and that can lift about 35 lb (15.9 kg). Families usually call us when they already know the EZee Life EZ6RGT code, or when 5 ft is short and 8 ft is more pack than they want to lift.

Length, slope, and surface

This page is the 6 ft EZ6RGT only. The HPU EZee Life sheet does not print a slope ratio or a maximum rise. Stay inside the slope the wheelchair or scooter maker allows. A common public starting point is the 1:12 ADA Standard. Confirm the ratio with local codes.

The walking surface is applied grip tape with side rails. Sweep the tape before you use it if dirt or slush is on it.

Folding and portability

The EZ6RGT is a multifold. The HPU sheet prints a folded pack about 36 x 14.5 x 6.3 in (91 x 37 x 16 cm) and an unfolded size about 72 x 29.3 x 2 in. Net weight is 35 lb (15.9 kg) on that sheet. Factory Direct Medical currently prints 45 lb on its EZ6RGT card. Copy uses the HPU 2020 figure until a current EZee Life sheet replaces it.

Funding help for a wheelchair ramp in Ontario

Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund ramps, so plan around other routes. The March of Dimes Canada Home and Vehicle Modification Program is the main Ontario funding source for home accessibility changes like ramps, and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Ontario Renovates program in some municipalities, extended health plans, and community organizations can also help. A ramp may also qualify as a home accessibility or medical expense on a Canadian tax return in some situations.
