Description
The Cair 1000 is Joerns' fixed 48 x 80 bariatric low-air-loss surface. True low air loss, Autofirm, Therapy, and Pulsate, with Fowler Boost and CairRails. Twenty therapy cells, 6.5 in deep, plus a lower safety cell.
The current Joerns product page prints 48 x 80 x 8.5 in, 22 lb mattress, 7.5 lb control unit, and 1000 lb capacity. The 2016 spec table also prints an 8 in depth. This page uses the current product-page depth. CRLAL-4880-M is the mattress-only 2026 code (same -M suffix Joerns uses on Arise).
Who this mattress is for
This mattress is for a person at or under 1000 lb on a 48 x 80 bariatric deck when the care plan names Cair 1000 or a non-expandable bariatric LAL. If the frame changes width, see the Joerns Arise 1000 EX.
Mattress only
This SKU does not include the control unit. Ask us if you need the pump in the same delivery. The product page says the lower safety cell can hold for up to 12 hours after a power cut. Rapid CPR deflate is at the hose.
Funding help for a mattress in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund hospital beds or mattresses. The provincial ADP page lists both under equipment it does not cover. OHIP does not reimburse this purchase. Ontario Health atHome (310-2222) and March of Dimes Canada can help some low-income applicants. The price is this therapy mattress. HST is extra. Westin's team delivers across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. If it mounts to a Joerns bed we already set up, we fit it on that visit. Call (905) 451-7743 to book.
