Description
The RGK Veypr Sub4 is a carbon wheelchair built as a made to measure everyday rigid: a 100% carbon fibre frame that Sunrise Medical Canada prints under 4 kg (8.8 lb) and 10% lighter than the Octane Sub4. Westin Healthcare is an authorized Sunrise Medical dealer. An occupational therapist or physiotherapist measures the person, Westin writes the RGK order, and RGK lays up that frame to those numbers. This is not a boxed chair that ships the next day.
Sunrise Canada's spec table lists seat width and depth from 9.8 to 17.3 in. Front seat-to-floor is 15 to 20.5 in; rear is 14.2 to 19.7 in. The Canada card does not print a user weight. RGK's UK card prints 110 kg (242 lb). We use that UK figure until the Canadian order form says otherwise. The frame does not fold. It is not a sports chair.
Who this chair is for
This chair is for a person who will self-propel a made-to-measure carbon rigid, fits the Veypr size range, and stays at or under the 110 kg (242 lb) limit printed on RGK's UK card. Families usually call us when they want the carbon wheelchair in the Sub4 class, or when the therapist is comparing titanium Octane Sub4 with carbon.
If you want titanium instead of carbon, see the RGK Octane Sub4. If you want a current carbon Category 4 rigid that is already on the Westin ADP shelf, see the Motion Composites APEX C.
- Everyday self-propel use on a made-to-measure carbon fibre frame
- Sunrise Canada guarantees the frame under 4 kg (8.8 lb) without wheels and cushion
- Seat width and depth set after the therapist measures
How RGK measures and builds the chair
Westin meets the person with the therapist, then sends RGK the order. RGK's made-to-measure process takes more than 30 measurements, draws the frame in CAD, and builds a unique carbon layup. Sunrise prints 19 quality checks from measure to handover. Decal colour, gloss or satin, and any personal text or logo are written on the order form.
A floor chair, if we can show one, will not match every prescribed size. Do not buy the chair before an ADP application is in motion if you need the program to pay its share.
Design and build
Sunrise Canada calls this the first truly made-to-measure carbon fibre wheelchair. RGK's UK card describes four hand-laid layers: three structural layers offset by 45 degrees, then a herringbone finish. Carbon is printed as light and stiff, with vibration absorption on uneven ground. The Canada card says the Veypr is 10% lighter than the Octane Sub4.
Rear wheels come off for the car. The frame does not fold. Colours and decals are order-form choices. Built-4-Me is Sunrise's path if a needed change is not on the form.
RGK Veypr Sub4 specifications
These figures are from Sunrise Medical's Canadian card unless noted. The specification tab holds the stored values. Do not mix them with Octane Sub4 or APEX C numbers.
Frame: 100% carbon fibre, rigid. Product weight: under 4 kg (8.8 lb) on the Canada card. User weight: 110 kg (242 lb) on RGK's UK card; the Canada spec table does not print one. Seat width 9.8 to 17.3 in. Seat depth 9.8 to 17.3 in. Front seat-to-floor 15 to 20.5 in. Rear seat-to-floor 14.2 to 19.7 in. Transit is not printed on the Canada card, so we do not claim a crash-test rating.
RGK's everyday owner's manual family prints 5 years on the frame and cross-braces and 12 months on other parts. Sunrise Canada says warranty coverage may vary from one province to another depending on funding requirements. Ask us which insert ships with a Canadian Veypr.
Veypr Sub4 or another carbon wheelchair
The Veypr Sub4 is RGK's carbon everyday rigid. The Octane Sub4 is the titanium Sub4. The Motion Composites APEX C is a current carbon Category 4 rigid already on Westin's ADP shelf, with a different measurement path. They are not the same chair.
Funding help for a wheelchair in Ontario
This chair is an ADP-eligible category device. Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) pays 75% of the approved price for eligible clients, and clients receiving Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD support can be covered for the full cost. The route starts with an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who confirms the need and the right category before anything is ordered: a chair bought before approval is not reimbursed. Westin Healthcare works with ADP authorizers and submissions every week, configures the chair to the prescription, and walks you through the paperwork. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to start the conversation.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this made-to-measure wheelchair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, confirm the prescribed fit, and show you the wheel locks and the quick-release rear wheels before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through the measurement first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; a purchased custom wheelchair is delivered on a scheduled date.
If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Sunrise Medical manufacturer warranty
RGK's everyday owner's manual family prints 5 years on the frame and cross-braces and 12 months on other Sunrise parts for the original purchaser. Tires, tubes, and pads sit outside that term. Sunrise Canada says the term can also vary by province and funding rules. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Makes The Veypr A Carbon Wheelchair?
The RGK Veypr Sub4 uses a 100% carbon fibre frame built to the person's measurements. Sunrise Canada prints it 10% lighter than the titanium Octane Sub4 and guarantees the frame under 4 kg (8.8 lb) without wheels and cushion.
How Light Is The Veypr Sub4?
Sunrise Canada prints the RGK Veypr Sub4 under 4 kg (8.8 lb). RGK's UK card also prints a transport weight starting from 3.3 kg without wheels and cushion. We quote the Canada guarantee in copy and confirm the certified weight on the finished frame.
What Is The Weight Capacity?
RGK's UK Veypr card prints 110 kg (242 lb). Sunrise Canada's spec table does not print a capacity. We will confirm the rating on the Canadian order form before anything is built. Stay at or under the figure on that order.
What Does Made To Measure Mean On A Carbon Frame?
A made to measure wheelchair in Canada is built after the therapist and Westin write the person's measurements on the RGK order. RGK takes more than 30 measurements and lays up that carbon frame. There is no boxed size list.
Does The Veypr Sub4 Fold?
The RGK Veypr Sub4 frame does not fold. Rear wheels come off for the car. If you need a fold, see the Octane FX or the Tiga FX in the Tiga Series.
How Should The Seat Width Be Chosen?
The therapist measures seated hip width. Sunrise offers 9.8 to 17.3 in on the Veypr Sub4. Do not guess a width from a photo.
Who Qualifies For ADP On This Chair?
Ontario residents with a valid health card whose disability needs a mobility device for six months or longer, after an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses them. We cannot promise that a specific person will qualify. A chair bought before those steps is not reimbursed.
How Does The 75 / 25 Split Work?
ADP can fund 75% of the approved price for eligible clients. The person pays the remaining 25% unless they are on Ontario Works, ODSP, or ACSD, in which case ADP can cover 100% of that approved price. Extra items that are not on the approved list are paid separately.
Can I Try A Veypr Sub4 Before We Order?
Come into a Brampton or Toronto store and ask what we can show. A floor chair will not match every prescribed size. We will tell you honestly what is on the floor.
How Is This Different From The APEX C?
The RGK Veypr Sub4 is a made-to-measure carbon frame from RGK. The Motion Composites APEX C is a Quebec-built carbon Category 4 rigid with its own order form and ADP codes. Westin sells both. The therapist picks the path.
What Is The Warranty?
RGK's everyday owner's manual family prints 5 years on the frame and cross-braces and 12 months on other parts. Sunrise Canada says the term can vary by province. Westin Healthcare processes the claim.
What If ADP Declines The Application?
ADP sends a letter with the reason and how to follow up, including an appeal. The chair should not have been bought yet. Call (905) 451-7743 and we will read the letter with you. Other routes sit on the funding page.
