Description
The QRamp QR4.0 modular wheelchair ramp is a powder-coated aluminum modular access system with ThruFlow ERGO decking, made by ThruFlow Inc. in Wallaceburg, Ontario. Westin Healthcare quotes it, site-measures it, and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a custom layout, not a single boxed length you add to a cart.
Each sloping Module 1 is 48 in (122 cm) long with a 36 in (91 cm) usable width and 42 in (107 cm) overall width. Continuous handrails come on every module. Optional mid-rails and vertical guardrails are available. Call (905) 451-7743 for a layout and a quote.
Who this system is for
This modular wheelchair ramp is for a household that needs a longer run, a turn, or a resting platform at the house, and wants a system that can come down and move later. Families usually call us when a 10-ft Gateway 3G is not long enough, or when the path has to turn beside a porch.
If the rise is a doorway lip, start with the Transitions Modular Entry Ramp or the Angled Entry Ramp. If you need a one-piece 3-10 ft solid deck, see the Gateway 3G portable ramp or the Gateway 3G two-line ramp.
- Custom runs with straight sections, 4 x 4 ft or 5 x 5 ft platforms, and 90-degree turns
- A 36 in usable deck with a 2-3/4 in roll-off curb and ThruFlow open-grate surface
- A system that ships in labelled module boxes and can be taken down when the need changes
Modules and layout
QRamp QR4.0 is a set of modules, not one SKU. Official drawings name Module 1 (4 ft slope with legs), Module 2 (4 ft bridge), Module 3 (4 x 4 ft 90-degree platform), Module 4 and 4V2 (entry and extended entry), Module 6 (transition plate), Module 7 (1 ft bridge), Module 8 (5 x 5 ft 90-degree platform), and Modules 9 and 10 (straight 4 x 4 ft and 5 x 5 ft platforms). We pick the mix after a site measure.
QRamp publishes the ADA 1:12 slope as its planning rule: 1 in of rise needs 12 in of ramp. One Module 1 is 48 in long and is described as 4 in of rise at that ratio. A 21 in porch would need 21 ft of sloping sections under that rule. Always check the mobility device owner's guide and local code. The system uses independent telescopic legs with locking set screws. QRamp says it does not need permanent footings and does not have to be attached to the house.
Surface and safety
The running surface is ThruFlow ERGO fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene. Rain, snow, and debris pass through. QRamp prints a 360-degree non-slip surface and a 0.78 static coefficient of friction on the January 2026 panel chart. Colour on that chart is Ergo. There is no sanding, painting, or staining. QRamp still asks for regular cleaning and a check of bolts and screws.
Continuous handrails are included. Mid-rails and vertical guardrails are extras. Tools the maker names for assembly are 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm Allen keys, an adjustable wrench, and a tape measure. QRamp's FAQ gives 3-4 hours for a first install and 1-2 hours for a person who has built one before.
QRamp QR4.0 specifications
These figures are from the current QRamp QR4.0 dimensional drawings (May 2025), the ThruFlow Legacy XP chart (January 2026), and the 2026 limited warranty. The specification tab holds the stored values. Use the drawings when they fight. Do not use the old 1-year warranty line or an unverified per-module capacity.
Usable width 36 in (91 cm). Overall width 42 in (107 cm) on a straight module. Module 1 length 48 in (122 cm). Handrail 36 in overall, 34 in usable. Roll-off curb 2-3/4 in (7 cm). Frame plus decking 3-1/4 in. Structure warranty 7 years. ThruFlow panels: lifetime of the original purchaser. Warranty is not transferable and does not cover labour or reinstall.
How a quote works
QRamp QR4.0 is sold as a quote. The mix of modules depends on the rise, the path, and whether you need a turn or a platform. We measure the site, pick the modules, and send a written quote. QRamp also publishes an online Ramp Builder if you want to sketch a layout first. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the contact page to book the measure.
Suitcase, trifold, threshold, or modular
A suitcase or trifold ramp is a portable you carry. See the Suitcase Advantage Series and the Trifold Advantage Series. A threshold ramp covers a door sill. See the Modular Entry Ramp. A Gateway 3G is a one-piece 3-10 ft solid deck. The QRamp QR4.0 is the modular system: sections, platforms, and rails built to the house, then taken down when you move.
Funding help for a wheelchair ramp in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund ramps, so plan around other routes. The March of Dimes Canada Home and Vehicle Modification Program is the main Ontario funding source for home accessibility changes like ramps, and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Ontario Renovates program in some municipalities, extended health plans, and community organizations can also help. A ramp may also qualify as a home accessibility or medical expense on a Canadian tax return in some situations. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team site-measures and delivers this modular ramp across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. After you accept a quote we book a delivery date, bring the labelled module boxes in, and can assemble the layout on site.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through photos of the entrance first. Call (905) 451-7743 to book the measure. Purchased systems are delivered on a scheduled date.
A modular ramp is oversized. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the system is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

QRamp manufacturer warranty
ThruFlow Inc. covers the QRamp QR4.0 structure (aluminum frame, handrails, and footings) for 7 years from purchase or the documented install date. ThruFlow ERGO panels are covered for the life of the original purchaser against cracking, splitting, peeling, blistering, cupping, rotting, or uneven colour change under equal sun. The warranty is not transferable and does not cover labour, removal, or reinstall. We handle the warranty claim with you.
Frequently asked questions
What Length Of Ramp Do I Need?
QRamp plans the QRamp QR4.0 modular wheelchair ramp at a 1:12 slope: 1 in of rise needs 12 in of ramp. A 21 in porch needs 21 ft of sloping sections under that rule. We confirm the rise on site and pick Module 1 sections, bridges, and platforms to match. Also stay inside the incline limit in the wheelchair or scooter owner's guide.
How Steep Can A Wheelchair Ramp Be?
QRamp publishes the ADA 1:12 slope for the QRamp QR4.0: for every 1 in of rise there must be 12 in of ramp. Local building codes can be stricter. Confirm the ratio with your municipality, and never exceed the mobility device maker's own incline limit.
Do I Need A Permit For A Wheelchair Ramp In Ontario?
A permit for a wheelchair ramp in Ontario is a municipal question. QRamp says to check local building codes and notes that permits are not required in many areas, with an asterisk. Check with your local building department before we order modules. Call (905) 451-7743 if you want us to talk through what you measured.
Who Makes QRamp?
QRamp QR4.0 is made by ThruFlow Inc. at 700 Gillard Street, Wallaceburg, Ontario. It is not a National Ramp product and not a Barrier Free Living product.
How Wide Is The QRamp QR4.0?
The QRamp QR4.0 straight module has a 36 in (91 cm) usable walking surface and a 42 in (107 cm) overall width on the official Module 1 drawing.
Are Handrails Included?
Yes. Continuous handrails come standard on every QRamp QR4.0 module. Optional mid-rails and vertical guardrails are extras we can add on the quote.
How Long Does Assembly Take?
QRamp's FAQ gives 3-4 hours for a first QRamp QR4.0 install and 1-2 hours for someone who has built one before. Time depends on the number of modules. Each module ships partly pre-assembled in its own box with fasteners and a sheet.
Can The Ramp Move With Me?
Yes. QRamp says the QRamp QR4.0 modular design can be taken down and moved. Have the new entrance measured before you reuse the modules, because the path may need extra pieces.
What Warranty Does QRamp Carry?
The QRamp QR4.0 structure is warranted for 7 years. ThruFlow ERGO panels are warranted for the life of the original purchaser. The warranty is not transferable. Westin Healthcare handles the claim with you.
Why Is There No Single Price For QRamp?
The QRamp QR4.0 is a modular system. The mix of slope sections, platforms, and optional rails depends on the house. QRamp itself quotes through dealers and a Ramp Builder instead of a single cart price. Call (905) 451-7743 for a site measure and a written quote.
