Description
The Pride VivaLift Radiance is Pride Mobility's current heat power lift recliner with true-infinite positioning, a hideaway wireless charging pad, and a hideaway cup holder. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. Pride prints four sizes: Petite Wide, Small, Medium, and Large/Tall.
Pride's Radiance spec table rates every size at 400 lbs (181 kg) with three heat pads in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat. Power headrest, power lumbar, an independent backrest, and a standard footrest extension are on the sheet. A lithium backup pack keeps the chair usable if household power fails. Radiance is heat only. It is not the Ultra tilt chair.
Who this lift chair is for
This lift chair is for a person who stays at or under the 400 lb rating and wants warmth in the chair without a massage system. Petite Wide and Small follow Pride's 5'4" (163 cm) and below guide. Medium is 5'5" to 6'1" (165 to 185 cm). Large/Tall is 6'2" (188 cm) and above with a 21.5 inch (55 cm) wall gap.
If you want Pride's tilt pivot plus heat and lumbar massage, see the Pride VivaLift Ultra. If you want the size ladder without heat, see the Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2.
- Current Pride VivaLift with three heat pads
- True-infinite positioning, hideaway cup holder, wireless phone pad
- Canyon Ocean, Canyon Silt, Canyon Steel, or Canyon Walnut
Heat, positions, and controls
The Pride VivaLift Radiance uses true-infinite positioning. The backrest and footrest move independently, so the chair can reach a feet-above-heart pose. Three heat pads sit in the shoulders, lumbar, and seat, with high and low on the toggle remote. Pride's remote stores two favourite positions and has a USB port. The hideaway wireless pad charges phones that already support wireless charging. Pride says not to put a watch on that pad.
The lithium backup is there so the lift still runs when the room loses power. The chair is not a substitute for a caregiver when the person cannot use a hand control.

Radiance or Ultra
Radiance is the current VivaLift with three heat pads and no massage. The Ultra adds Pride's Tilt pivot and a lumbar air-bladder massage. The Tranquil 2 keeps the size ladder and drops heat. A 3-position Pride Elegance such as the LC-570 does not have independent back and footrest motors.
Funding help for a lift chair in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund lift chairs, so plan around other routes. Funding that may help instead: March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), extended health plans, and community programs, and a lift chair's lift mechanism may qualify as a medical expense on a Canadian tax return when prescribed. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through before you buy.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this lift chair across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, place it, and show you the hand control before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a lift chair first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased lift chairs are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
A lift chair is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the chair is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the chair needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a US parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Pride manufacturer warranty
Pride's Radiance sheet prints a 7-year prorated limited warranty for the original purchaser. Pride's lift-chair insert also keeps a lifetime term on the lift and scissor mechanism and the lift frame, and 12 months on the lithium backup pack. Heat pads sit inside the pro-rated term. Fabric sits outside that term. Exceeding the 400 lb rating voids the Pride warranty. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Size Lift Chair Do I Need?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance is sold in Petite Wide, Small, Medium, and Large/Tall. Pride's height guides are 5'4" and below for PW and Small, 5'5" to 6'1" for Medium, and 6'2" and above for Large/Tall. Sit in the size you think you need.
How Far From the Wall Does a Lift Chair Need to Be?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance needs 14 inches (36 cm) in Petite Wide, 15 inches (38 cm) in Small and Medium, and 21.5 inches (55 cm) in Large/Tall.
What Is the Difference Between a 3 Position and an Infinite Position Lift Chair?
A 3-position lift chair moves the back and footrest together. The Pride VivaLift Radiance is infinite: the backrest and footrest run on their own, so you can raise the feet without dropping the back to match.
Does ADP Cover Lift Chairs?
Funding for a lift chair in Ontario depends on the person's situation and assessment. Some programs help with mobility equipment. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Does a Lift Chair Work During a Power Outage?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance includes a lithium backup pack so the lift and recline can still run if household power fails. Pride warrants that pack for 12 months.
Does the Radiance Have Massage?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance is heat only. Three pads warm the shoulders, lumbar, and seat. If you want lumbar massage as well, see the Ultra PLR-4955.
What Is a Zero Gravity Lift Chair?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance can put the feet above the heart with independent back and footrest motors. Pride's named Tilt pivot, where the whole seat rocks from the rear, is the Ultra, not this chair.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Radiance?
The Pride VivaLift Radiance is rated at 400 lbs (181 kg) in every size Pride prints. Stay at or under that rating.
