Range, speed, and batteries

Rascal rates the Venture 4-Wheel at up to 4 mph (6.4 km/h). Range on the specification sheet is up to 8 miles (12.9 km) at 200 lb (90.75 kg), and up to 6.6 miles (10.5 km) at the 300 lb rating. Those figures vary with rider weight, terrain, battery charge, and tire condition, with a printed variance of +10% / -5%.

The pack is two 12-volt sealed lead-acid, non-spillable deep-cycle batteries, size 12 Ah. Rascal prints 20 lb (9 kg) for the pack. The charger is a 2 amp off-board unit.

Portability and transport

The owner's manual splits the Venture into the seat, under-seat storage, rear section, front section, basket, and battery pack, with no tools required. Rascal does not print a heaviest-piece weight. The scooter without batteries is 81.5 lb (37 kg) including the 22.7 lb seat, and the battery pack is 20 lb. Ask for help if a section is beyond a comfortable lift. It uses a sealed lead-acid pack, not an airline lithium box. Ask the airline or cruise line before you travel.
