Description
The Mobb Knee Walker is MOBB Health Care's steerable knee walker, item MHKWHF. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. MOBB prints a 350 lb (159 kg) rating, 8 inch casters, a two-piece pad, a removable front basket, and tool-free handle and pad height.
MOBB's own line is that this knee walker is ideal for people recovering from foot surgery, breaks, sprains, amputation, and ulcers of the foot. That is MOBB's sentence, not a diagnosis. Westin does not give medical advice.
Who this knee walker is for
The Mobb Knee Walker is for a person who stays at or under MOBB's 350 lb rating and who wants a steerable steel frame with a two-piece pad and a basket. Families here usually call when they want that recovery shape and they already know a folding Drive RTL799 is a different product.
If you want Drive's folding 8 inch knee walker without a basket, see the Drive Economy Folding Knee Walker. MOBB does not print a fold on MHKWHF.
- MOBB intended-use line: foot surgery, breaks, sprains, amputation, or ulcers of the foot
- A two-piece padded pad and a removable front basket
- A 350 lb (159 kg) steel frame with 8 inch casters
Fit and height
MOBB prints a handle height of 34 to 40 inches (86.4 to 101.6 cm) and a knee-pad height of 17 to 22 inches (43.2 to 55.9 cm). Both are tool-free. The pad is 7 inches wide by 14 inches deep (17.8 by 35.6 cm).
We set the handle so the standing elbow is slightly bent, and we set the pad so the resting knee sits level on the two-piece cushion. MOBB does not print a user-height chart. Come in with the shoes the person will wear and we will set both posts.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
MOBB fits 8 inch casters and writes that they are ideal for indoor and outdoor use. MOBB also writes that the knee walker can be steered for increased manoeuvrability. MOBB does not print a turning-radius number.
The brake is MOBB's deluxe braking system. MOBB does not name a parking-button style on this card. We show you the lever at delivery.
MOBB does not call MHKWHF foldable. Do not plan on a Drive-style fold. The official unit size is 17.6 to 30 inches (44.7 to 76.2 cm). MOBB does not label which figure is width and which is length.
Weight and portability
MOBB prints a product weight of 23 lb (10.4 kg) on a steel frame with a silver-vein finish. That is a one-person lift for most households. The removable front basket comes off for a tighter trunk. We still bring it in and set the heights if you want setup in Brampton or the GTA.

A knee walker or crutches
A knee walker, also called a knee scooter, is a four-wheel frame with a pad for one knee. MOBB describes MHKWHF as a recovery aid for the foot and lower leg conditions listed above. Crutches are a different class of aid. MOBB does not tell a reader which one a clinician would choose. Westin does not give medical advice.

Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
