Description

What is the MOBB 24 inch reacher?

The MOBB MHRCHR is a 24 inch reacher made for someone who cannot bend or stretch to pick up a light object. The jaws close with a metal rod, which MOBB's dealers repeat as the point of this model: there is no string to stretch or break. The handle is a moulded grip, the jaws are spring loaded, and the tips are rubber so they are less likely to scratch what you grab.

Who is a 24 inch reacher for?

It is for a person at home who drops a remote, a sock, or a bottle and does not want to bend to the floor, or who needs a bit more reach to a shelf. Twenty-four inches is a short reacher. It is not the MOBB telescopic reacher, which is a different model that adjusts from 30 to 40 inches. If you need that longer adjustable pole, ask us. This page is only the fixed 24 inch MHRCHR that is in stock.

How do you use it?

Hold the moulded grip, squeeze to close the jaws on a light item, and release. The rubber tips are there to protect the object. MOBB does not print a weight limit on the cards we could read, so treat it as a reacher for light household items, not a tool for lifting a bag of groceries.

Where does this sit with other walking aids?

A reacher does not replace a cane. If the need is balance while walking, start with the canes on this site, including the MOBB small base quad cane. The reacher is for picking things up. Both live under walking aids.

Care and paperwork

Wipe the handle and jaws. MOBB has not published a brochure or an owner's manual for MHRCHR that we could find on 1 October 2026, so this page does not attach a PDF.

Is this the telescopic MOBB reacher?

No. This is the fixed 24 inch MHRCHR. The telescopic model adjusts from 30 to 40 inches and is a different product.

Does it use a string?

No. MOBB's description of MHRCHR is a metal rod, so a string cannot stretch or break.

How much can it lift?

MOBB does not print a weight capacity for this reacher. Use it for light items.
