Who the MDS400EL is for
This lift is for a person who needs a full-body sling transfer between a bed, wheelchair, commode, or chair, and who stays within 400 lb with the sling. The person does not need to stand. How the MDS400EL works
A 24V DC battery drives the electric boom. The caregiver uses the hand control to raise and lower. Base legs open and close with a foot pedal so the lift can clear a wheelchair or bed. Medline rates about 80 to 100 lifts per charge on this model. An emergency lower path is part of the design so the boom can come down if power fails during a transfer.
The boom ends in a 6-point sling cradle. Match the sling loops to that cradle and stay inside the lower of the lift rating and the sling rating. Shop Westin's sling styles: full-body slings, universal slings, toileting slings, and divided-leg slings.
