The Interstate GEL0075 is a 12V 70Ah (20-hour) pure gel group 24 cell with insert terminals. Interstate's current sheet prints 70.0 Ah at the 20-hour rate to 1.80 V per cell. Westin Healthcare sells the single cell in Brampton and can match gel chemistry before we send a replacement across the Greater Toronto Area.

Who this group 24 gel battery is for

Use the Interstate GEL0075 when the old cell is group 24 gel, or when the device maker names gel in this case size. It is not the MK 8A24 group 24 AGM and it is not the Interstate DCM0075 group 24 AGM. Bring the old battery or a photo of the stamp. Call (905) 451-7743 if the chemistry is unclear.

Gel vs AGM in group 24

Interstate prints GEL0075 as Pure Gel and says it delivers two times the cycle life of standard AGM. Gel wants a gel-capable charger. The AGM twin in this size class is the DCM0075 at 75 Ah. MK's group 24 AGM is the 8A24. MK's group 24 gel is a different article.

Westin sells the GEL0075 as a single 12V battery. Most group 24 scooters and chairs run two in series for 24V. Order two and replace both together. Each cell is about 50.3 lb.

Group 24 trays are heavy. Each cell is about 50.3 lb. Westin can do the swap. Match the red and black leads. Do not mix gel with AGM.

Is GEL0075 the same as DCM0075?

No. GEL0075 is Interstate pure gel, 70 Ah at 20 hours. DCM0075 is Interstate Deep Cycle Mobility AGM, 75 Ah at 20 hours. Same group 24 case is not the same chemistry.

Is this a group 22NF battery?

No. GEL0075 is group 24. Group 22NF gel in this shop is the GEL0055 or the MK 8G22NF.
