Description
What is the FlexiGrip 6090?
It is a bed ladder. A loop at one end goes over the footboard or a suitable rail. Eight padded handles run along a nylon strap so you can pull yourself up, one handle at a time, from lying to sitting. It can also help with a seated move between a wheelchair and a bed. It lies on the mattress when you are not using it.
Who is it for?
It is for someone who can pull with their arms and who needs a series of grips rather than a rigid rail. It does not hold a person in bed the way a side rail does. If you cannot pull yourself up, a rail or a caregiver is the safer tool. See rigid rails on the bed rails page.

How does it attach?
The maker's page says a loop attaches it to the bed footboard or around a handrail. Read the attached instructions before the first use. Do not attach it to a point that can pull free. The extension strap sold as 6091 is a separate piece and is not included here.
Care
The maker describes the nylon as easy to clean and resistant to soiling. Follow the washing steps in the attached instructions for use rather than a guess. The multilingual instructions (IFU 803, revision 16) are attached. Direct Healthcare Group has not put a separate sales brochure on the product page beyond that instructions file, so this listing attaches the instructions only.
How many handles does it have?
Eight.
How long is it?
175 cm (1750 mm).
What is the safe working load?
The instructions for use state 150 kg, which they also print as 331 lb.
Does it include the extension strap?
No. This listing is the 6090 ladder only.
