Description
The EZ-Access Pathway 3G Modular Access System is a bolt-together aluminum ramp, platform, and stair kit for the home. Westin Healthcare quotes it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is the maker's modular system when a portable ramp is not enough.
EZ-ACCESS rates Pathway 3G ramps and platforms at 1,000 lb (454 kg). Stairs on the current ezaccess.com table are 850 lb (386 kg). Ramp sections run 2-8 ft. Standard solid-surface widths are 36 in and 48 in. Sunrise Canada's card also lists 60 in and 72 in. Platforms run up to 8 x 5 ft. Lifetime Limited warranty. No poured footers.
Who this modular ramp is for
This modular wheelchair ramp is for a household whose rise, turn, or landing is longer than a 10 ft Gateway, or who wants stairs and platforms in the same aluminum family. Families usually call us when a suitcase or trifold ramp is a daily chore, and they want a system that can come apart later without changing the house.
If the rise is a short door or a few steps, start with the EZ-Access Gateway 3G or the Gateway 3G with two-line rails. If you only need a threshold, see the Transitions Modular Entry Ramp or the Angled Entry Ramp. For a folding portable, see the Suitcase Signature, the Suitcase Advantage, or the Trifold Advantage.
- Ramps, platforms, and stairs in one kit
- Two-line, vertical picket, or horizontal picket rails
- Solid, expanded-metal, and (on the CA card) perforated surfaces
Length, slope, and rise
Measure the rise from the ground or walk to the landing. EZ-ACCESS says to consult the mobility equipment owner's guide for an acceptable slope, and never to exceed that recommendation. Confirm the ratio with local code. A municipal permit may be required in Ontario. Check with your city. We do not invent a 1:12 promise for every Pathway layout.
Ramp lengths are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 ft. Resting platforms on the ezaccess FAQ: 4x4, 4x5, 5x5, 5x6, 6x6, and 8x5 ft. Turns use a turn platform. A switchback uses a turn-back platform. A 45-degree platform runs the system on an angle. Stairs can connect to a Pathway platform or to an existing deck because each stair has four independently adjustable legs. You cannot join two Gateway 3G ramps into a longer run. Pathway is the maker's answer for that longer run.
Surface, rails, and build
The structure is high-strength aluminum. It will not rust, rot, or deteriorate from outdoor weather. Sides are flush, with no nuts or bolts in the walking area. The ground end uses an 18 in self-adjusting transition plate. Multi-positional base feet have a large footprint so you do not pour concrete footers. The system does not alter the house. It can be taken apart later.
Solid surface uses an extruded raised-rib tread. Expanded metal uses diamond openings for drainage. Sunrise Canada's card also lists a perforated surface. Two-line rails add a second grip below the continuous top rail. Vertical pickets meet the 4-inch sphere rule. Horizontal pickets run parallel to the top rail. Handrail height is 34.5 in. Powder coating is optional on the CA card. We quote the surface and the rail after a site measure.
EZ-Access Pathway 3G specifications
These figures are from the Sunrise Canada Pathway 3G card and the ezaccess.com card and FAQ, read 2026-08-15. The specification tab holds the stored values.
Capacity 1,000 lb (454 kg) on ramps and platforms. Stairs 850 lb (386 kg) on the ezaccess table. Ramp widths 36 in and 48 in standard on ezaccess; CA also lists 60 in and 72 in. Ramp lengths 2-8 ft. Handrail height 34.5 in. Platform sizes as listed above. Lifetime Limited warranty. Made in the USA. A typical 24 ft system can go together in less than an hour on the CA card, or the same day with minimal tools on the ezaccess FAQ. Installation time still depends on the layout.
Suitcase, trifold, threshold, or modular
A suitcase ramp folds in half and carries like a case. See the Suitcase Signature Series and the Suitcase Advantage Series. A trifold ramp folds into a narrower bundle. See the Trifold Advantage Series. A threshold ramp covers a doorway lip. See the Modular Entry Ramp and the Angled Entry Ramp. A one-piece solid deck up to 10 ft is the Gateway 3G. A modular system is a set of sections, platforms, and rails built to the house. Pathway 3G is that system. We also quote the QRamp QR4.0 when that layout fits better.
Funding help for a wheelchair ramp in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) does not fund ramps, so plan around other routes. The March of Dimes Canada Home and Vehicle Modification Program is the main Ontario funding source for home accessibility changes like ramps, and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Ontario Renovates program in some municipalities, extended health plans, and community organizations can also help. A ramp may also qualify as a home accessibility or medical expense on a Canadian tax return in some situations. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers the Pathway 3G across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area after a site measure. We bring the sections in and, when you book installation, we assemble the run and show you the transition plate and the rails before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather talk through a rise first. For a scheduled measure or install, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Purchased systems are delivered on a scheduled date.
A Pathway 3G is larger than small parcel goods. The Canada-wide free ground-shipping offer on smaller goods does not apply. If the system is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the ramp needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
EZ-ACCESS manufacturer warranty
EZ-ACCESS covers the Pathway 3G for the original purchaser under its Lifetime Limited warranty. The warranty is not transferable. Powder-coat finishes sit outside some EZ-ACCESS lifetime terms. We handle the claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
What Length of Ramp Do I Need?
The EZ-Access Pathway 3G uses 2-8 ft ramp sections plus platforms. Measure the rise, then stay inside the mobility device owner's slope limit and local code. We quote the run after a site measure. We do not invent a rise table for Pathway the way Gateway prints one.
How Steep Can a Wheelchair Ramp Be?
EZ-ACCESS says to follow the mobility equipment owner's guide and never to exceed that recommendation. Confirm the ratio with your city. Several households use 1:12 as a starting point. We will walk the numbers with you.
Do I Need a Permit for a Wheelchair Ramp in Ontario?
A Pathway 3G may need a municipal permit. Rules vary by city. Check with your municipality. We can share the layout we quote so you can ask the building department.
Does ADP Cover Wheelchair Ramps?
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program does not fund ramps. The March of Dimes Home and Vehicle Modification Program is the main Ontario route. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
Do I Need Concrete Footers?
EZ-ACCESS says the Pathway 3G multi-positional base feet have a large footprint, so you do not pour concrete footers or set pavers. The feet rotate and can tuck under the ramp or sit close to a wall.
Can the Ramp Turn?
The EZ-Access Pathway 3G can run straight, turn left or right on a turn platform, switch back, or leave at 45 degrees. We pick the platform after we see the house.
What Surfaces Can I Order?
EZ-ACCESS lists solid extruded tread and expanded metal. Sunrise Canada's card also lists perforated. Ask us which surface we can put on your order.
How Long Does Installation Take?
Sunrise Canada's card says a typical 24 ft system, including handrails, can go together in less than an hour. The ezaccess FAQ says a system can typically be assembled with minimal tools the same day it arrives. Time still depends on the layout.
Is This a Portable Wheelchair Ramp?
The EZ-Access Pathway 3G is a modular home system. It is not a suitcase or trifold you carry in the car. For a portable ramp, see the Suitcase and Trifold pages linked above.
What Is the Weight Capacity?
The EZ-Access Pathway 3G ramps and platforms are rated at 1,000 lb (454 kg). Stairs on the ezaccess.com table are 850 lb (386 kg). Stay at or under those ratings, and inside the mobility device guide.
