Description
The Evolution Piper rollator is Evolution Technologies' aluminium 4-wheel walker with a short wheelbase and a 275 lb (125 kg) rating. Westin Healthcare sells it and delivers it for homes in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. It is a folding rollator with a removable mesh basket. It is not a centre-folding Xpresso.
Evolution's current Piper sheet lists four sizes: Super Mini, Mini, Regular, and Tall. Super Mini weighs 12 lb (5.4 kg). Mini, Regular, and Tall weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg). Every size uses 8 in (20 cm) polyurethane tires and a removable waterproof seat cushion on a solid plastic base.
Who this rollator is for
This rollator is for a person who stays at or under the 275 lb rating, wants a narrow 4 wheel walker for bathrooms and halls, and prefers a light aluminium frame over a steel Evo or a wider Xpresso. Families usually call us when a standard rollator feels wide in a condo corridor, and they still need an 8 in outdoor wheel and a seat.
If you want a centre-folding X-frame that keeps the basket on, start with the Evolution Xpresso Lite. If you need more than 275 lb, see the Xpresso Zero Tall or the Evo Series.
- Four seat heights from 17 in Super Mini to 23 in Tall
- A 21 in wide Regular frame for tighter indoor paths
- A removable mesh basket and a waterproof seat cushion
Fit and height
Stand in everyday walking shoes with your arms relaxed. Evolution sets the Piper handles so they can sit at the crease of the wrist. Super Mini handles run 29-33 in (73.7-83.8 cm). Mini 30-34 in (76.2-86.4 cm). Regular 31-36 in (78.7-91.4 cm). Tall 35-39 in (88.9-99.1 cm).
Seat height is separate from handle height. Super Mini sits at 17 in (43.2 cm), Mini at 19 in (48.3 cm), Regular at 21 in (53.3 cm), and Tall at 23 in (58.4 cm). Use Choose Seat Height to pick 17, 19, 21, or 23 in, then we set the handles inside that size's range.
Wheels, brakes, and folding
The Piper uses 8 in long-lasting polyurethane tires that Evolution rates for indoor and outdoor use. Brakes are a locking hand-brake system on the handle loops. Evolution's Piper sheet does not print a cable-free claim; this is not the Xpresso Lite Cable-Free.
The frame folds for a car trunk or a closet. The mesh basket is removable. Do not expect the basket to stay on the way an Xpresso folding basket does. Lock both brakes on flat ground before you sit. Evolution's warranty card says not to use any Evolution walker as a wheelchair, and not to use it to push open doors or hit curbs.
Weight and portability
Super Mini weighs 12 lb (5.4 kg) on Evolution's sheet, without accessories, backstrap, or basket. The other three sizes weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg) on the same basis. Regular overall size is 21 by 26 in (53.3 by 66.0 cm). Tall is 23 by 26 in (58.4 by 66.0 cm). That is light enough for many caregivers to lift into a trunk after the fold. It is not a one-piece travel suitcase.
Evolution Piper specifications
These figures are for the Evolution Piper Series as printed on Evolution's current Canada sell sheet. The specification tab holds the stored values. Evolution's website table prints Super Mini weight as 12 in by mistake. We use the sheet's 12 lb.
Weight capacity 275 lb (125 kg) in every size. Super Mini seat 16.5 in (41.9 cm) wide. Mini, Regular, and Tall seats 18 in (45.7 cm) wide. Seat depth on our stored tab is 9.5 in (24.1 cm). Wheels 8 in PU. Colours on the current sheet: Vibrant Red and Black.
Warranty for a Canadian purchaser follows Evolution's wheeled-walker card: lifetime limited on the frame and metal, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Register the walker with Evolution within 14 days of purchase.
Colour and size
Use Choose Seat Height to pick Super Mini (17 in), Mini (19 in), Regular (21 in), or Tall (23 in). Use Choose Color to pick the frame colour. Evolution's current Piper sheet lists Vibrant Red and Black. Ask us if you want a frame colour beyond those two.
Piper or an Xpresso
The Piper is the light, narrow aluminium rollator in this family. The Xpresso Lite adds the Roman-arch X-fold and a stay-on basket, at 15 lb. The Xpresso Lite Cable-Free keeps that fold and hides the brake cables. The Trillium Type 2 is the indoor 6 in sibling when you want a quilted seat on hard, flat floors.
Funding help for a walker or rollator in Ontario
Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP) can fund 75% of the cost of a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and the aid is prescribed through an assessment by an ADP-registered occupational therapist or physiotherapist, and some income-support programs cover the full cost. Not every model qualifies, so talk to us before you buy. March of Dimes Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and community programs can also help. Westin Healthcare's staff work with these programs every week and will point you to the right route for your situation. Visit our funding page or call (905) 451-7743 to talk it through.
Delivery and setup in Brampton and the GTA
Westin's own team delivers and sets up this rollator across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. We bring it in, unfold it, set the handle height, and show you the brakes and the fold before we leave.
We have three stores in the Brampton and Toronto area if you would rather see a 4 wheel walker first. For a scheduled in-home setup, call (905) 451-7743 and we will book the next date that works. Same-day delivery is offered through our hospital bed rental service; purchased rollators are delivered and set up on a scheduled date.
If the rollator is going outside the GTA, ask us for a freight quote. Inside Toronto and the GTA, White-Glove Delivery (bring-in, unwrap, test, take packaging away) is described on the shipping policy. Any charge is confirmed on your order.

Service and warranty
When something on the rollator needs work, you call the shop that set it up, not a distant parts desk. Westin Healthcare has a service and repairs department. Our technicians come to the home or workplace.
Evolution manufacturer warranty
Evolution's current wheeled-walker card, for the original purchaser who registers within 14 days, is lifetime limited on the frame and metal components, 5 years on the braking system excluding normal wear, 1 year on the basket, handle grips, back rest, and other plastic parts, and 6 months on the tires excluding normal wear. Evolution voids the warranty if the walker is used to push open doors, hit curbs, or used as a wheelchair. We handle the warranty claim with you. Ask us if an extended warranty is offered for your order.
Frequently asked questions
How Do I Choose a Rollator Height?
The Evolution Piper Regular handles adjust from 31-36 in (78.7-91.4 cm). Stand in walking shoes with your arms relaxed and match the wrist crease to a handle height inside the Super Mini, Mini, Regular, or Tall range. Seat height is a separate pick: 17, 19, 21, or 23 in.
Walker Vs Rollator: Which Is Better?
The Evolution Piper is a rollator: four wheels, loop brakes, and a seat. A standard walker has no seat and is lifted with each step. Choose the Piper when the person can steer and squeeze brakes and wants to sit for a rest. Evolution says not to use it as a wheelchair.
Does ADP Cover Rollators?
Some Ontario routes can help with a walker or rollator when the need is long-term and an assessment supports it. Eligibility depends on the person's situation. Call (905) 451-7743 or use the funding page before you buy.
How Much Does the Evolution Piper Weigh?
The Evolution Piper Super Mini weighs 12 lb (5.4 kg) on Evolution's sell sheet. Mini, Regular, and Tall weigh 13 lb (5.9 kg). Those figures exclude the basket and accessories.
What Is the Weight Capacity of the Piper Rollator?
The Evolution Piper is rated at 275 lb (125 kg) in every size. Stay at or under that rating. For a higher rating, look at the Xpresso Zero Tall or the Evo Series.
Will a Lightweight Folding Walker Fit in a Car?
The Evolution Piper folds for a car trunk. Regular overall size is 21 by 26 in before the fold. The mesh basket comes off first. We can walk through the fold at delivery.
Can I Use the Piper Outdoors?
Evolution rates the Piper's 8 in polyurethane tires for indoor and outdoor use. It is a Type 3 size of wheel, not a 6 in indoor-only tyre. Lock the brakes before you sit, and do not use the frame to shove doors or climb curbs.
Is the Piper a Narrow Rollator for Small Spaces?
The Evolution Piper Regular is 21 in (53.3 cm) wide on Evolution's sheet, with a short wheelbase Evolution designed for bathrooms and tight rooms. Super Mini is the same 21 in width with a 16.5 in seat. Tall is 23 in wide.
What Colours Does the Piper Come In?
Evolution's current Piper sheet lists Vibrant Red and Black. Use Choose Color to pick the frame. Ask us if you need a colour beyond those two.
How Do I Sit on the Piper Seat?
Lock both Evolution Piper brakes, keep the rollator on flat ground, and sit only when it is parked. Evolution's warranty card says not to use the walker as a wheelchair and not to sit while it is moving.
