What is the Drive 13220L sling?
It is Drive's large padded U-sling with head support. The spec sheet lists it as a 4-point padded sling, one per box. The same family has small, medium, large, and extra-large. This page is the large, item 13220L. The head panel supports the head and neck. The two leg sections pass under the thighs.
How do you place it?
Drive's use sheet says to raise the bed and the rails if the person is in a hospital bed, fold the sling behind the back, roll the person onto it, and pull the leg loops forward under the thighs. Cross the loops. Centre the lift cradle over the person before you attach both sides. Raise slowly. Do not set the parking brake while the lift is moving the person, and watch for anything under the bed that could stop a wheel. A lift is not included.

How do you wash it?
Remove any bars before washing. Machine wash warm or cold. Drive allows a maximum wash of 185 F (85 C), including 160 F for 3 minutes or 145 F for 10 minutes. Use a non-enzyme detergent. Do not use bleach. Do not wash with other colours. Air dry, or tumble dry on cool or very low. Do not tumble dry on high.
How does it compare?
A U-sling with head support holds the torso, the head, and both legs. A toileting sling leaves an opening and is a different product. Match the sling to the lift maker's limit before you use it. This is not a Hoyer-brand sling.
Care and warranty
Inspect stitching and straps before each lift. Retire a sling with a cut, a fray, or a burned spot. Drive's use sheet prints a 6 month limited warranty for the original purchaser. It does not cover misuse or normal wear. The spec sheet and the use sheet are both attached.
